Media Corp (Gaming Corpoartion GMC)Attracting Some Big Names. (MDC)

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2003 00:33

Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

So can we assume that Evil's price of 60p has been forgotten for the time being? I'm beginning to think Dil may be right to pull his money out until September time as we maybe in for a flat summer. Anyone else thinking of taking profits?

jimmy b - 08 Apr 2005 11:48 - 547 of 1117

Yes i am , but lets not go over the top ,,what are we saying ,that there are no money making oppertunities between now and September, Im losing patience with this one,but not all..JB..

mickeyskint - 08 Apr 2005 11:51 - 548 of 1117

I'm watching and waiting for the results but getting ready to jump it things look like there going pear shaped. I'm getting that uneasy feeling.

LOL

Hi Jimmy, suspicious because Evil or Winnie jump immediatly on anything which is untrue or damaging to any of their investments. Im told the post is still there and also appears on the general thread aswell.

cheers GF. PS, Evil gives out his friday trading update this afternoon so we might get something there.

deancroft - 08 Apr 2005 11:56 - 550 of 1117

mickeyskint, the placing in private hands could merely refer to a casino being run by another company that is already registered to carry out such business activities. GMC would stump up the capital, another company runs it and pays royalties to the company that owns it. The company that runs it has all the hassle vetting employees, complying with local and government conditions etc and the owners keep taking the commission. Almost like a franchise.

ateeq180 - 08 Apr 2005 11:57 - 551 of 1117

I held some but could not see all the sells going through so just sold to be on the safer side, especially holdind mmg,so its better to take a hit on one but not two.lets hope its not the case for gmc holders.

goldfinger - 08 Apr 2005 11:57 - 552 of 1117

If I get anything through from Evil I will post it.

cheers GF.

mickeyskint - 08 Apr 2005 12:11 - 553 of 1117

Providing GMC hold title to the property I wouldn't have a problem. The new Director that has been appointed came from London Clubs, which have 2 casino's closed for refurbishment. Perhaps this could be a link. I wish I was Mystic Meg.
If they do buy it will almost certainly be an exsisting set up.

Thanks GF,im watching this one like a Hawk, im down already..JB

Chiva20 - 08 Apr 2005 12:36 - 555 of 1117

Ditto, cut my holding significantly its just a bit too shakey at the moment.

blackbelt - 08 Apr 2005 14:28 - 556 of 1117

Excuse my ignorance i dont have level 2...if theres so much selling going on why is the share price remaining stagnant, is it the institutions moping up the small investors? Why would they be so willing to do this if a big share dilution is on the cards, please explain?

deancroft - 08 Apr 2005 15:05 - 557 of 1117

blackbelt, there are only 39 trades today (just over 1m shares sold) that I can see which averages out at less than 4000 per trade, quite small volume compared with previous experience of GMC. Not a lot to get excited about.

Sooner44 - 08 Apr 2005 16:26 - 558 of 1117

Hey all, I've a thought on the appointment which seems to be overlooked so far. The new director will obviously have some contacts, notably still at LCI. Here's my thinking. LCI have a large number of overseas clients, far east, middle east etc who may not be able to get here that often. These visits attract large, large amounts being gambled, especially by middle east visitors. Is it not possible that the Drummonds are thinking of selling to certain casino's their own i.e. LCI "internet" gambling site, and that the new appointment has the ability to open the doors to other clubs? If I were in this line of business (which I'm not) it would certainly make sense to me to at least explore the opportunity. In theory there is no reason why each casino cannot attract additional income for which GMC attract a royalty, or direct commission based upon takings......

That said, I think it should be watched closely and I'm ready to jump....

LOL all those holding.

Don't forget people the results will be out soon and they will show a big improvement which will (I hope) move the price.

This is a nervey time for GMC holders but I for one am holding long term, the market seems to have responded to the latest newsfeeds reasonably ok so although I'm not inspired I'm not too concerned. More deep breathes and less knicker twisting for me :o)

Good luck all holders.

Hi,

I can find absolutely no mention of Gaming Corporation on T1ps.com today. There is no mention of Gaming Corporation in EKs diary, nor on the bulletin board, nor in a rumour on Watshot.com. I am rather surprised at people jumping on the back of such a rumour, which appears a scaremongering tactic more than anything.

People should be aware that EK is a good friend of the Drummonds and continues to be long of Gaming Corp. EK going short of Gaming Corp isnt something that even crosses my mind.

Furthermore Tom Winnifrith, who is the diarist of the Evil Knievil diaries, does not mention Gaming Corp in every single entry. EK has so many stocks to cover that there simply is not room to mention every single one of them in every episode.

As far as I am aware Gaming Corp will continue to concentrate on the online gaming arena, and will not be purchasing a land based casino. Online is the way forward!

_____________________________________________________________________

There is too much rumour mogering going on with this share at the moment that is causing people to panic and question all the positives. Just because William Grimes has a background in bricks and mortar casinos we suddenly get he speculation that the Drummonds are going to buy one. What they are buying here is industry expertise. We've all bought into this share because online gambling is in its infancy with great prospects ahead of it. If the Drummonds want to gain vast experience of gamblers habits, gaming regulations and contacts within the industry where else are they going to get it from?

Absolute cobblers MR Kournikova you sir are either blind or you are not telling the truth, here it is from Evilcast board and General board as passed on from a t1ps com member.......

Taken from general board.
Entered by ------------- on 08/04/2005 00:31

Just slightly concerned about the latest appointment to the board. Heard a rumour that the Drummonds want to buy an actual casino which would then be placed in private hands leaving shareholders to pick up the pieces when the SP tumbled.

Of course, if that happened it would be a fantastic shorting opportunity for EK, if he closed his long position at exactly the right time, which I wouldn't be surprised to see happening. Anyone else got any thoughts? ENDS.

I hope that someone on here passes this onto the advfn site just to show what a deceptive person Mr Kournikova is. He should give advfn posters a big appology.

goldfinger - 09 Apr 2005 00:11 - 563 of 1117

If anybody wishes to pass Mr Kournikova to me to sort out his problems please feel free to do so, you can tell him where I post. I will be looking in at some time tomorrow or later tonight.

cheers GF.

goldfinger - 09 Apr 2005 02:04 - 564 of 1117

No message from Mr Kournikova then.

Its still there on the boards and as been for 2 days now. No reply from either Evil or Mr Winnifrith. I find that rather strange as in the past they have jumped on any rumours. Perhaphs the poster knows a little more than some are giving him credit for.

cheers GF.
