THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Dear Norris McWhirter,
Grandad died and left me something in his will.
It's a flat, round black piece of plastic, about 7 inches across and with a hole in the middle.
Is this a record?

Looks like how I feel Driver!!
Just seen on the news that Agriculture (cows etc) are responsible for 3% of methane emissions in the UK: after last night, I think I am responsible for the remaining 97%!

So are you starting a new environmental campaign, kim, aimed at getting people to drink less beer and eat more burgers, to reduce greenhouse gas emmisions???

kimoldfield - 13 Oct 2006 14:23 - 5457 of 81564

Definitely Alan, especially burgers wrapped in Stanelco materials, that way will produce a natural lessening on the dependancy on alcohol and fags......unless of course, SEO are able to bring their ciggy filter to market in which case smoking will be encouraged!

I get really upset when people describe me as Alcohol and Nicotine dependent.
I need them, obviously, and without them I would lose the will to live, but I am not dependent on them.

Al, I'm sure you've proved you can give up smoking by doing so numerous times ;o)

hewittalan6 - 13 Oct 2006 15:00 - 5460 of 81564

About 40 times a day, actually!!
Stopping smoking is just soooo easy.
Not starting again is a bit harder...............

bosley - 13 Oct 2006 21:43 - 5461 of 81564

LISTENING TO SOME BLUEGRASS ON MY EM PEE FREE PLAYER .....oops, i always do that when i've got ear phones on . soggy bottom boys, top class :)

alan, the trouble with being a smoker at this time of year is that it's getting colder. standing outside is getting to be less fun.

hewittalan6 - 13 Oct 2006 21:45 - 5462 of 81564

Got the only office in the western world where smoking is not only allowed, its practically compulsory!!

bosley - 13 Oct 2006 21:46 - 5463 of 81564

jammy bastard !!

bosley - 13 Oct 2006 21:51 - 5464 of 81564

You're such a wimp.
Call yourself a northerner?
It's not even mildly chilly yet :P

hewittalan6 - 14 Oct 2006 17:41 - 5466 of 81564

Wow.
Alienating an entire city in one post.
Thats what I call class and style.
Lets start on Birmingham next, a town designed by a Lego salesman.

bosley - 14 Oct 2006 21:08 - 5467 of 81564

but it's a true story. there really is a newcastle disease. honest!!

look here if you don't believe

"The potentially fatal disease's symptoms in birds include sneezing, gasping for air, nasal discharge, coughing and a greenish, watery diarrhoea."

there's a few birds i've met who had those symptons.

kimoldfield - 15 Oct 2006 02:35 - 5468 of 81564

Hadaway Bosley, I had a chicken Vindaloo a couple of nights ago, the results were the same as the symptoms of Newcastle disease and made me bowk all night but I' m fully recovered now. Whey aye, man! I reckon there's some muckle hacky tricks goin on, no way should they cull chickens, it's all a load of ket.

Marc3254 - 16 Oct 2006 10:35 - 5469 of 81564

Alan that makes me feel better. I was convinced i was addicted to nicotine and caffine. I now feel happier and more content, knowing im not addicted just dependant.
Thanks mate.
