Rockhopper - A big 2011 coming (RKH)

Should send the army out there with rubber bullets.........soon see the chickens run for cover then.

No.

The loss of the lower fan is a blow at this location.

They were expecting 30M to 40M for the main fan, hence they say this is at the higher levels of expectations.

Lower fan is not good news - people can try to spin it but its not.

Once the oversold position is corrected on the euphoria of the main fan, I expect the sobering loss of the lower fan to take over sentiment.

Nice to see some blue.....well done Moody's lot.....bravo !....

avsec - 09 Aug 2011 18:12 - 558 of 729

"sobering loss of the lower fan"

Where did you find that? It clearly states when referring to flow testing

"no lower fan sands were perforated for this test"

It goes on to say
"Rockhopper also carried out down-hole mini drill stem tests (DSTs) on two of the three sands that make up the lower fan complex. According to Rockhopper the interpretation of the mini-DST results indicate that the two sands could contribute an additional 800 barrels a day using the same flow test techniques"

I respectfully suggest your previous post of "Put a buy order in at 99p." confirms you have lost the plot. The closing price today over 203 must have you spitting tacks

Proselenes - 09 Aug 2011 20:03 - 559 of 729

avsec.

It clearly states the Lower Fan

"Is water wet with no oil shows".

So the lower fan at this location is full of water..............

Sea Lion Lower Fan Complex

Well developed lower sand package (sand B15) intersected beneath oil water contact of -2477m tvdss (total vertical depth subsea) and was water wet with no shows

Mr P - having been singularly selective with your posting, perhaps you'ld like to remind us all of what the rest of the announcement had to say

ptholden - 09 Aug 2011 20:48 - 562 of 729

Not sure why anyone would wish to try and enter into any sort of sensible discussion with this serial ramper, it wasn't so long ago he posted this:

Proselenes - 21 Feb 2011 15:55 - 156 of 561
Well, I am now pretty much "all in" RKH after selling other stocks and buying even more.

If the next 8 to 10 wells they have the funds to drill all fail, I shall lose a couple of hundred K.

If the next 8 to 10 wells strike lots more oil, I will walk away with a 7 figure pure profit.

These kind of fully funded chances do not come along too often, you have to grab them and either make a name for yourself or go down in flames with a smile on your face for having a go.

I am having a go and fully prepared to lose, and also full prepared to accept a win if it happens :)

His last top up was at 250p ish at the time of posting. Whilst I have no problem with anyone changing their stance on a stock, it's clear the comments above were nothing more than blatant ramping, so much for hanging in their for a 7 fig profit - PMSL.

You'll find with most of PapalPowers / Pros ramps, once he's out, he's most likley to turn against what was once his favourite stock; probably because the ramp went wrong.

Edit: Incidentally there have been a number of posts about this character on other financial BBs - none of them favourable.

Proselenes - 10 Aug 2011 03:19 - 563 of 729

cynic, read the thread, I have said the main fan is good news all along.......... strange how blind people are.

Proselenes - 09 Aug 2011 07:19 - 548 of 562
mnamreh, no.

Its good news on the main fan, but its bad news on the lower fan.

Lower fan is water wet and no oil shows - as per the RNS.

So its good and bad all in one.

Proselenes - 10 Aug 2011 03:24 - 564 of 729

Its hilarious, I sold out at 300p and now because the price has risen from 140p to 200p I was wrong for selling at 300p.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - whatever.

blackdown - 10 Aug 2011 08:13 - 565 of 729

You must have sold in February then. That was the last time RKH was 300p.

Unlikely.

Proselenes - 10 Aug 2011 14:03 - 566 of 729

Looks like the short term trading rampers are all exiting RKH now..........

Proselenes - 10 Aug 2011 14:25 - 567 of 729

Countdown is underway, less than 9 months until more funds are needed. Which means you have to take any broker target with a large pinch of salt as you must dilute it by future fund raising.

Note from Matrix:

Sea Lion step out success well #6 finds oil outside the low case reservoir estimate. Well 14/10-6 drilled offshore the north Falkland Islands as a westerly step-out of the Sea Lion field found 36m net good quality reservoir (average porosity 22%) and filled to spill. Importantly, pressure information indicates that the reservoir (the Sea Lion Main Fan Complex) is in communication with wells 2, 4 and 5 on the field, which should enable a simpler, quicker and lower cost development. The well also encountered a lower sand package of similar quality, though water wet. Rockhopper believes that this sand has the potential to be water bearing elsewhere in the field.

The rig will soon move to the next drilling location, designated exploration well, about 3.3km to the northwest of the Sea Lion discovery well #2. Following that there will be at least two further wells in this programme. We estimate that Rockhopper, which is spending about $0.8m/day on the drilling programme, should have sufficient funds to last until late Q1 2012.

We see this as an excellent result for Rockhopper, increasing the overall size of the field, expanding the low-case reserves, and confirming reservoir communication. Although much work is still needed to integrate the results with the 3D seismic data, it seems reasonable to assume that the low case could now be some way north of 200 mmbbls. In the absence of this reserves/resources update we maintain, for now, our 400p price target and BUY rating.
