bad weather in gulf expected this year:
sterling look out
Looking at the 2006 Atlantic season, Weather 2000 said its research, along with atmospheric and oceanographic parameters, are pointing towards a lot of activity. The company said it would not be surprised to see 15-22 named storms, eight-13 hurricanes and four-seven intense hurricanes.
The Colorado State forecasting team, which is now led by Philip J. Klotzbach, is a little more conservative in its prediction. The team's 2006 Atlantic hurricane outlook calls for 17 named tropical storms (9.6 is average) of which nine would be Hurricanes (5.9 is average) of which five would be intense hurricanes (2.3 is average).
Weather 2000 pointed out that the recent development of weak La Ni conditions could contribute to a summer environment that looks to be even more conducive for tropical development than was the case last year at this time.

jimward9,
well I guess with the additional revenue form Ching, we are less dependent of the GOM revenues than we were last year.
I'm not worrying about the weather there, if it happens it happens, SEY seems to have come out more or less ok last year, and if the worst happens, they've probably got some insurance!
Nice .75p rise today, let's hope we are about to break out of the pennant.

30p breakout on my estimate...

That would be nice prop.
I thought it would have gone past 25p by now, but it seems to be butting heads with it!
The higher the better, any bid would reflect the new price accordingly.

a bid would need to nearer 40p!

The glass-ceiling at 24/25 looks like it is nuclear hardened.
When it goes it could be quite something.

Jimward9,
If you look above the posting box, there is a chain link looking icon. (IE Fourth from the left, B,I,U, then the chain link)
If you click on it, and paste in the URL such as the Tiny url address you used above, and enter, it will give you what looks like the same screen again, but is in fact a second screen.
If you type HERE into that screen and enter, it will post the HERE like I did in my post above.

Hope so Jim. This has been bouncing up and down for long enough. We just need a day of good volume to take it up. The churning must stop sooner or later. Fingers xxxd over the road did a very good TA of SEY last weekend. A very positive and encouraging read if you are into the charts and stuff - which I am. We should get to where we want to be by the end of the month.

Mauritania's state oil company said.
"It's started. All of the vents are open," Ismail Abdel Vetah, director of operations for Mauritania's national oil company SMH, told Reuters.
He said he expected the first cargo of 950,000 barrels of crude to be shipped between March 15-20.
State oil officials hope the barren nation, which straddles black and Arab West Africa, will be producing 300,000 barrels a day in three or four years time, once three other fields in the same basin as Chinguetti come on line.
Oil firms are also hunting onshore for crude in the massive Taoudeni basin under the country's eastern desert, which covers an area roughly the size of France. Discoveries there could dwarf the country's offshore potential, industry experts say.
Who is drilling in Taoudeni basin, who has the licences in that area?
Andy do you know? Anyone know?

I remember what must be decades ago, sww describing the virtues of his " chicken-brick " slow cooking process. I guess that SEY is the current subject in his cooker - long time in the pot, but succulent when it comes out.

Jim,
Over the road on ADVFN I hear that an outfit called Baraka are in the frame. Its an Aussie outfit with a market cap of approx 23 millions. Some are touting it as a possible aquisition for SEY.
Edit: Possibly some Chinese outfits as well.
