I suspect trading tomorrow will probably answer this conundrum, but I know there are some far wiser owls than me that contribute to this bb & I would be interested in their opinions.
My question is this: the chart below looks to me like a pullback of the uptrend (ie when it went north through 14.00) however I am unsure as it has now broken down through 14.00 whether this is trending up or down :-(
So what do you think - up or down, or should I just flip a coin :-)) ?

Numis do not seem to know much about valuing companies.
EMG worth "liquidation" value"
How much does Numis value "Facebook" at.
A Company is valued at its potential to generate profit.
As long as EMG have sufficient Assets under Management,
and they charge - is it 2%, annual fee, then they will make steady profit.
They do not have to go out and sell widgets continually.
All it needs for EMG to take off to 140 / 160p is steady world politics.

Hmmm.....is does look as though EMG are going to drop out of the FTSE 100 list, with the resultant exit by the tracker funds.

The exit by FTSE 100 tracker funds, may be somewhat offset by entry of FTSE 250/350 tracker funds. I am long now, looking for a bounce, as sometimes happens when stocks get booted out of the FTSE 100. H

Skinny as I see it EMG is presently in FT100
- Babcock talks about it will be going out
- LSE FTSE100 seems to show it in at present
- 4-traders.com lists it as in and one of 102 ?
- Bloomberg.com presently lists it as in and one of 102 ?
To me it seems to be in now, but probably will be out, but when are changes made ?
Perhaps there is a web site somewhere which gives better information

My second link above is from the LSE and show it in (as of yesterdays close) - I thought the reshuffle was last Friday - obviously not?
Anyway, I can't readily find the date so will have a search.

Digitallook still showing EMG as a constituent of FTSE 100.
I also though the change was last week. Bizarre.
