Fido,
The Chinese have big onshore interests in Mauritania. I see them as rivals to SEY for government affections!

Pond Life,
The Chinese are securing resources throughout the world because they know thats where future supplies lie with the big producers at or near peak and are themselves investing elsewhere. Take a look at Iran where they are investing $600m in Indonesia. The point is that with easy sources unable to cope with demand and possibly near peak, the hunt for oil has gone global. The cost will be born by high oil prices, and thats going to wonders for Sterlings profits and increase the value of their assets and may also make them a bid target in the round of consolidation that our chairman talks about.

Yep Bukhara are due to spud soon partner is Chinese.
But I was more alluding to the fact that Oil from Ching currently is going to China at a discount of between $4-$5 I was wondering if a deal for exclusive rights to the oil may be being done. Maybe my warped thinking.
Time will tell.

dr if the chinese are trying to get a fixec price then i belive they will be snookered by the oil companies or be locked in at over $65-70 bucks a barrel as i can see new records being set for a barrel price in the not to distant future
as for sey i think the gov might even ask them what they think
lets face it if youve done work with a comp and they aint ripped you off you tend to go back dont you
sey is such a company in the gov eyes were ching is involved

What do you of the share price behaviour this week, do you think it could have gone better if it wasn't for the last two days of big falls in the stock market? It was trying test the 33p mark a few times, however the volume of trade is increasing all the time which must be a good sign??

Excellent performance R88AVE.........compared to some of my other holdings LOL,
Well you must keep cheerful :-)
On a serious note it was thought SEY had tremendous prospects at the beginning of last week, no reason to think that has changed at the end of the week.
Young company, huge potential, I'm happy to hold.

I agree - a great performance. If you look at the intraday prices for Friday SEY was at 32p bid right up until late in the day. It only fell away right at the death. Providing the market doesn't tank again next week we could see the highs regained quickly. Far too early to think of taking profits.
