dr if the chinese are trying to get a fixec price then i belive they will be snookered by the oil companies or be locked in at over $65-70 bucks a barrel as i can see new records being set for a barrel price in the not to distant future
as for sey i think the gov might even ask them what they think
lets face it if youve done work with a comp and they aint ripped you off you tend to go back dont you
sey is such a company in the gov eyes were ching is involved

What do you of the share price behaviour this week, do you think it could have gone better if it wasn't for the last two days of big falls in the stock market? It was trying test the 33p mark a few times, however the volume of trade is increasing all the time which must be a good sign??

Excellent performance R88AVE.........compared to some of my other holdings LOL,
Well you must keep cheerful :-)
On a serious note it was thought SEY had tremendous prospects at the beginning of last week, no reason to think that has changed at the end of the week.
Young company, huge potential, I'm happy to hold.

I agree - a great performance. If you look at the intraday prices for Friday SEY was at 32p bid right up until late in the day. It only fell away right at the death. Providing the market doesn't tank again next week we could see the highs regained quickly. Far too early to think of taking profits.

I too see no reason to change my opinion of 6th May!

I think its great we can discuss like this, I too think its way too early to sell, I am hoping this will continue grow into a nice pension pay out in the long run.

to my mind, the only short-comings of this site over "another " (which is now only just about up and running again after a month being revamped) is the lack of knowledgeable researchers who were prepared to share their findings, and the ability and willingness of posters to qualify their opinions as to whether the share should be bought or sold or held or something in between .... I am afraid I do not have the necessary skills and patience and knowledge to interpret company info etc, even though I try to make intelligent comment in the light of the facts or opinions presented by others.

jameel, Not rampers. Just people that like to air their views of a company on a good natured site. If you require all posts to be made by extremely knowledgeable investors who never make a positive comment without being substantiated with many researched facts then perhaps you would be better off dashing back to another website.
Perhaps you would be kind enough to call back in when the 'other site' experts are certain when the sp is to rise to 50p or 1 (preferably the day before)

The only reason the SP fell at the end of day on Friday was because the MM`s increased the spread which had the effect of reducing the mid price. Still strong on the offer at 32p.

Optomistic - You are being unfair to Jameel and obviously without background knowledge. Among others and for example as a knowledgeable contributor to LSE was GedW. He had the time, patience and skill to do some very thorough and unbiased research and the posted his findings. I certainly did not always agree with him, and posted accordingly. Nevertheless, his findings were nearly always worth reading and considering.

cynic, do not wish to be unfair to anyone but jameel was very pointed in his/her remark about the thread being made up of rampers. My view is defensive of the posters on here as I believe it is not so.

jameel06,
Actually I would take issue with that statement too, and agree with optomisitc, that it is not so.
I would go as far as to ask you to post some examples of "ramps" from this thread, because as far as I am concerned, I cannot recall ever reading one.
The true definition of "ramp" is of course a malicious lie to try and manipulate other thread readers into a course of action that benefits the author.
IMHO this thread has never been a rampers thread, SEY has always been a low profile stock, and continues to be so. It has contained optimistic posts, as well as the odd pessimistic one, and some light hearted banter, but never deliberate falsehoods, IMO at least.

ok, Andy, we could do without your essay-like response and gathering of legal definitions!
I have no time sit a trawl through which remark to point out to you all. SEY, is a stock I am all too familiar with and one which I actually pointed out to Cynic in December sometime on LSE!

jameel06,
"we"?
You are the only person replying, nobody else!
"I have no time sit a trawl through which remark"
So there was only one "remark" that was a ramp, on a thrread of 5900 posts, so it's hardly a concerted effort then!
Shame you didn't recommend the stock to cynic a couple of years ago when it was under 10p, when people like myself bought in, adding along the way as the price has gently risen.
The next potential SEY is about to commence trading on AIM, Concorde Oil and Gas, check it out, same small beginnings as SEY, same top quality management as SEY (IMO), and massive potential to emulate SEY and reward over time, all iMHO of course.
Ramp over!

Cynic would not have bought SEY a couple of years ago!
As I posted somewhere else here, but can't rememeber where, I am more than happy to let others get in on the ground floor of newcos and similar ...... Though i may miss the early profits on some, I feel I am more likely to avoid the stinkers by getting in later, as I did with VOG and EME and perhaps here
