Big Al - 07 Jan 2009 20:22 - 594 of 974

Stops are pointless, Treb. Don't you know you're never wrong so they are irrelevant to your plan?

I think lower shadows are permitted with a shooting star Al, provided they're small.

Time will tell. ;-)

Also happy to still be short - closed NXT earlier maybe a tad early - if you are watching nothing else ATM watch more 4 - Bird and Fortune re credit crunch - brilliant.

Big Al - 07 Jan 2009 21:20 - 597 of 974

Lower shadows are required, Strawbs, hence the "Not quite" bit. ;-) We'll see what traspires tomorrow for sure.

Strawbs - 07 Jan 2009 21:32 - 598 of 974

The chart I saw (possibly not accurate as a free Internet one) had a small lower shadow. The classic shooting star has no lower shadow according to the reference books I have, but small shadows are also permitted. Time will certainly tell anyway. :-)

with NY taking a nasty tumble it is almost inconceivable that london will not follow, the retail sector included

Big Al - 07 Jan 2009 22:07 - 600 of 974

If it gaps down first thing, Strawbs jump straight in short methinks.

BTW, just revisited Nison, which I've not read in ages. The body can be black or white

Strawbs - 08 Jan 2009 06:52 - 601 of 974

Sounds like a plan Al. Sadly I've been credit crunched so don't have any spare cash at the moment. :-( Good luck to others with positions though....

simple (simplistic?) chart indicates what should be good support at this level, but if it fails, then ....... glad i'm short (and old and bald and bow-legged!)
