Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Sharp rebound back to 80p plus due....as the company now looks undervalued...

required field - 14 May 2014 13:45 - 5965 of 6187

A little bit more blue and the shorters will close...

cynic - 14 May 2014 13:52 - 5966 of 6187

maybe, though they haven't in the past on brief rallies
meanwhile, buying pressure isn't that great and there's still a fair number of sellers to - i.e. books are barely out of balance

Shortie - 14 May 2014 14:12 - 5967 of 6187

Your not wrong there Cynic, hence I'm on the fence right now.

RF I wouldn't say the company looks under valued right now as along with everyone else EPS potential damage isn't all that clear.

Currently book makes up around 22.5p of the SP, with 34p being potential earnings, if the company is forecasting to earn 3p per share then you could argue that this share is cheap. If however PE drops to more like 2p the sp would be more fairly priced.

cynic - 14 May 2014 14:18 - 5968 of 6187

but in that case, no downward pressure either, except as sentiment dictates
it could therefore be argued that shorters will deem it time to start banking profits, with obvious effect albeit that it may be short-lived

Shortie - 14 May 2014 14:21 - 5969 of 6187

I'd have to agree, if I were short I'd be looking to take my profit and move on right now as there is certainly more upside risk.

cynic - 14 May 2014 14:23 - 5970 of 6187

don't feel obliged to agree :-)
btw, i don't see any posts on ASC from muppet-boy or anyone else :-)

Shortie - 14 May 2014 14:48 - 5971 of 6187

After losing what £20 a share I doubt he's got much to sing about... He was right though, dreams were made there, for us though it was being short!!

cynic - 14 May 2014 14:51 - 5972 of 6187

arguably £30 as sp is now about £40 ..... don't you wish you were short now (nothing personal!), though perhaps you are :-)

Shortie - 14 May 2014 15:01 - 5973 of 6187

No, no regrets and happy to be out with a good profit. Lets just say that I doubt I'll come close to matching what I shorted ASC for again this year. Last year Apple was my big payer and this year so far ASC!

panto - 14 May 2014 15:05 - 5974 of 6187

The easy down is now easy up

there was resistance at 66/66.25p but once that point was gone, share price is on the spike form again with the same inclination UP

Shortie - 14 May 2014 15:12 - 5975 of 6187

15 minute shows as being overbought...

Daily showing the longer term being oversold

cynic - 14 May 2014 15:28 - 5976 of 6187

3-month simpleton's chart ......
Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

forget 200dma (black) but note 50dma (green - 90p) and 25dma (red - 80p)

Shortie - 14 May 2014 15:33 - 5977 of 6187

What's the importance of the two moving agerages then? You've lost me..

cynic - 14 May 2014 15:38 - 5978 of 6187

lines of possible resistance - for simpletons like me :-)
do your more sophisticated charts indicate much different?

panto - 14 May 2014 15:50 - 5979 of 6187

re - resistance

looking on another way maybe the support and resistance on the downtrend gives a better view.

the 80p will be a strong point and then it will depend if it carries on as for how long as the lines decline as the days past by,
but 90p could also be the price ( round numbers )

p.php?pid=chartscreenshot&u=IWkyrZure1sK

cynic - 14 May 2014 15:55 - 5980 of 6187

so not really much different then
i would have thought that 80 might be broken much more easily than 90, purely because i would have thought the 50dma to be more "potent" than the 25dma .... i think that's almost english!

panto - 14 May 2014 16:13 - 5981 of 6187

And after the 1/3 retracement to 69.50p on the up again

this is happen all the time if a share price move up too fast. some punters take profits and MMs get some shares back on their books marking the price lower to that point as more sellers panic.

required field - 14 May 2014 16:18 - 5982 of 6187

I still can't see what the fuss is about this company...the sp has been savaged but the results as far as I can see are good...must be worth 100p I would say....we've had such a drop that a rebound must be on the cards in fact it looks like it's started...

cynic - 14 May 2014 16:19 - 5983 of 6187

the last bit seems to be unanimously agreed, but how far in the short term remains open to debate
