though of course it has its uses in the food and beverage industry, it is actually a "problem" gas for the environment and is indeed a serious problem for the oil industry on how to dispose of the stuff.

while there are ongoing debates as to what the oil industry should do with it - deep- burying is one solution under discussion and perhaps using it to pressurise wells to help maximise results - all are very expensive and/or at the experimental stage.

it follows that for EOG having great quantities of CO2 is more likely to be an expensive encumbrance than an asset

it's a funny thing, but CO2 happens to be one of the specialist gases with which our company deals and the problems with the disposal of same also happens to be a regular topic of the presentations at a specialist conference i attend twice a year .... still, i'm sure the wunderkind can explain why my comment was clearly such drivel and riven with inaccuracies ..... but in the absense of same, it may be reasonably assumed that at least in essence, i was spot on

now you've got some of that personal abuse out of your system, perhaps you'ld care to address post 602, which you have signally failed to do so far ..... i think everyone else here would be fascinated by your expertise and insights into CO2 trading, usage and disposal etc etc

while you are about it, perhaps you could also rationalise as to why today, when FTSE is +132 and other oilies, pretty much across the board, are roaring ahead, EOG is now down just over 4p (18%) at 18.75/19.25

and don't forget to explain why your post of 8th april (Up 6.4%, brent crude oil at $125 a barrel, results due any day, 30p+ here we come) was so wide of the mark - sp was then about 25 too ..... an MM conspiracy perhaps?
