New World Resources has had a flying start since it floated recently. The core business is hard coal mining and coke production in the Czech Republic. The company produced coking coal and stema coal - coking coal being the raw material for steel production. Steam coal sold to utilities for electricity.
Looks set for big gains in my opinion and expect to see FTSE100 inclusion before too long.
Results tomorrow.

I expect Q1 results tomorrow to be very good, prob why we're seeing these moves. Or the tracker funds are already buying, knowing they'll have to before too long anyway.

Can anyone enlighten me how long after an IPO before a company can be up for FTSE100 inclusion ?- because clearly this one will go in at some point.

NWR may be looking to increase coking coal prices as much as 40% in 2009 to match int'l markets.

Morgan Stanley starts coverage with overweight rec and target price 2300p.
"We think NWR is strongly placed to benefit from investor interest in this sector with very few ways to gain exposure to the coking coal market and even fewer ways to play coke prices"

Soon be testing the highs here. I'd have thought 20 before too long with all the good news coming out and rising demand for energy.

Another strong day and with Poland likely to award NWR the mining contract for Debiensko in southern Poland by the end of the month, this should add significantly to its assets. Almost looks like a done deal with yesterday's statement.
