Thanks mitzy and cynic :-) They don't all perform this well!

Another very nice 10p today too so perhaps my prediction of consolidation premature - I hope so!

captain merton - are you still holding?

cynic - 12 Jan 2007 10:35 - 61 of 841

and still the price keeps rocketing away ..... no idea quite why this strong even though the company is performing well above expectations

PGV4 - 12 Jan 2007 17:52 - 62 of 841

Its nice to catch up with current comments on DOM. I started the old threads on DOM back in 2004, and I still hold. The dividend hike might be good again this year.

cynic - 15 Jan 2007 11:21 - 63 of 841

reckon it's time for sp to take a bit of a breather, so have taken my profit ..... 90p per share over just a few weeks; thank you very much indeed ...... share will stay firmly on my watchlist, as does RTN .... will be watching sp relative to (the sharply rising) 25 dma + rsi

cynic - 19 Jan 2007 15:28 - 64 of 841

strange thing share prices sometimes ..... it has indeed rocketed away today by some 25p, yet there really have been only 38,000 traded, for i checked through my broker ...... no news of any kind; rsi is ridculously overbought ....... staying out as can see no logic at all - and will prob be proved totally wrong to do so, for the company is performing fantastically

mitzy - 19 Jan 2007 17:51 - 65 of 841

Chart is just great cynic no problems with 700p.

cynic - 19 Jan 2007 18:29 - 66 of 841

it's not a problem i foresee, but am always nervous/suspicious of massive price movements on minuscule volumes ..... i suppose there is a rationalisation that there is a potential big buyer so MMs are raising the price to tempt some to sell ...... One could also argue that, perhaps with more logic, if the price took a tumble

cynic - 05 Feb 2007 12:25 - 67 of 841

getting back to a good buying level - i.e. when/if sp hits rising 25 dma
sp already on the oversold side of neutral

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=DOM&Si

cynic - 08 Feb 2007 08:48 - 68 of 841

watch this for the bounce ..... i.e. i suspect sp has just "teased" through 25 dma, rather than started a downward trend

cynic - 13 Feb 2007 16:29 - 69 of 841

25 dma is at 660 ..... sp is 656 .... rsi is neutral ..... sector is right ..... watch v closely with view to buy if bounce; if continues down, then watch for 620 and 50 dma but (imo) more likely the former

cynic - 16 Feb 2007 11:19 - 70 of 841

preliminary results and no doubt a trading update due on Tuesday 20th ..... sp bounces off 25 dma (of course charts are total rubbish!) ..... rsi neutral .... and am now back in at 672

HARRYCAT - 16 Feb 2007 12:20 - 71 of 841

This got a mini writeup in Shares mag this week. The only down side that they could hint at was that the intended 50 new shops for 2006 was short of it's target, but otherwise the growth propects are considered to be excellent.
Finals due on the 20th Feb.

cynic - 16 Feb 2007 12:24 - 72 of 841

apologies to the owner/editor, but i rarely take primary notice of what Shares has to say ..... too many stinkers! .... however, it certainly helps to support a view and/or to give timely reminders of results due etc.

PGV4 - 20 Feb 2007 08:07 - 73 of 841

Great set of results, and 1st 7wks of 2007 up 14.3%.

cynic - 20 Feb 2007 08:08 - 74 of 841

plesae may i say, "Told you so; told you all to buy into this sector!" ...... now take a look at RTN!

HARRYCAT - 20 Feb 2007 09:08 - 75 of 841

And we all did buy in to this, so if it goes t*ts up then we know who's door to knock down! :o)

cynic - 20 Feb 2007 09:33 - 76 of 841

absolutely ..... though i am also considering a delivery service! ..... anyway, tits up it has patently not done!

but seriously, i really do recommend you take a good look at RTN ...... and then decide whether or not to buy in!

cynic - 21 Feb 2007 08:35 - 77 of 841

have just shown my faith by buying more (DOM) which makes me def o'weight in this stock .... sp bang on 25 dma and rsi is neutral to o'sold

cynic - 21 Feb 2007 10:03 - 78 of 841

hmm! .... not much impressed by the directors' sales, though they seem to have had little trouble in placing them

HARRYCAT - 21 Feb 2007 10:42 - 79 of 841

LONDON (AFX) - Domino's Pizza UK & IRL PLC said chief executive Stephen Hemsley has sold around 258,000 shares at 670 pence each yesterday, bringing down his stake in the company to 4.27 pct.

The company said chairman Colin Halpern has sold 350,000 shares at 670 pence each, lowering his stake to 11.70 pct.

It also said non-executive director Nigel Wray has sold about 491,000 at 670 pence, reducing his holding to 22.12 pct

Yesterday, Domino's Pizza reported a 28 pct rise in full-year pretax profit, boosted by a significant growth in sales."

Personally I don't think there is anything ominous in these director sales as they still hold a considerable stake in DOM.
