FRANCESCA BERLIN DEBUT SINGLE COMPETITION (FRAN)

Howard0181 - 05 Jul 2006 15:19

My daughter Francesca Berlin has her debut single released on 7th August 2006. Moon Records UK are running a competition (with the approval of MoneyAM) in which you have to predict at what number "Colours Faded" will be in the charts for the week ending 13th August 2006. The Official Charts for the week are announced on 13th August. "Colours Faded" is a 2 track single and the full charts are numbers 1 - 200. As there could be lots of entries the tie breaker is what number will "Colours Faded" be in the Download Charts (1 - 100).

Please enter by just stating say 45 (38) (45 being for Singles Charts and 38 being for Download Charts) Its easy and its a bit of fun. First prize is 250.00 of which 125.00 is sent on the winners behalf to the Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund. The Winner gets the other 125.00 plus a signed copy of "Colours Faded". MoneyAm are offering a years free subscription to Shares Magazine including a years Premier MoneyAM access which is worth 123.00 to the top three entries. The second and third closest enntries will also recieve a signed copy of "Colours Faded".

My plan is to get "Colours Faded" in the charts by selling via by pre-ordering. We have the ability, via our on-line distributor, to sell via pre-orders and all of these sales will count towards our chart position in week one. If we can sell 3,500 at one week prior to release date we will have a major story to take the media.

Its almost impossible to get a record label deal in UK and so I formed my own record label (Moon Records UK) for the purpose of self release of Francesca's music. The song is titled "Colours Faded" and is about Eva Cassidy. We are working hard to get "Colours Faded" in the Top 40 with no record plugger, no record contract, no video, no national distribution, no radio play and no national press coverage. Its sounds impossible but with your help and the help of our existing fan base it could happen.

The on-line price is 77p per track. There are 3 alternate versions also for sale. If you buy all 4 the cost is 3.08 and all of the 4 sales will count to the charts. The B side is Stronger and that's also 77p.

To buy "Colours Faded" 2 Track Single please click Buy Colours Faded (2 Track Single)

Howard0181 - 28 Jul 2006 14:27 - 62 of 189

splat

Changing the subject to chess...has anyone read the sad news about Jessie Gilbert? I felt sick when I read the newspaper this morning. Both Francesca and my son Jamie played Jessie in junior chess tournaments pre 2000.

splat - 28 Jul 2006 14:36 - 65 of 189

Howard - of course I'm going to buy it! It was a weak attempt at humour.

Howard0181 - 28 Jul 2006 14:45 - 66 of 189

no problem..I really appreciate your support and everyone else on MoneyAm. I am working so hard (just with my PR company) to make this happen. Its very hard at times.

Andy - 28 Jul 2006 14:57 - 67 of 189

Howard,

Do you have dates and times for the Oxford St. Signings pls?

Howard0181 - 28 Jul 2006 15:27 - 68 of 189

Andy

HMV wont less us do live performance or signing in Oxford Street. Its really only for established bands etc. Of course I understand that. The Bond Street branch have Colours Faded in stock ready for sale. The Oxford Circus branch wont stock at the moment. The manager at 150 Oxford Street did not like Colours Faded (which I have no problem with) whereas the manager at the Bond Street Branch loved the song.

Just booking live performance at The Exchange, Ilford

Howard,

You must feel shocked and sicked by the news that Jessie Gilberts father as been charged with her rape, the poor girl. The bastard should spend the rest of his life in jail if it's true.

Howard0181 - 29 Jul 2006 17:37 - 70 of 189

I was in shock when I read the news on Friday morning. I would always talk to Jessie's parents when our kids played in chess tournaments. They were very friendly and Jessie was such a delightful young girl. Jessie was in the same year age group as my son Jamie. Jamie played Jessie 4 times in tournaments and also Jessie once played Francesca.

I have a lot of very happy memories from when my kids played tournament chess. Francesca started to play tournament chess at the age of 5.

I feel numb today when I read the news about the upcomming trial of Jessie's father. I just cant understand this. I am just numb and sick (the trial) and so sad that Jessie is no longer with this world.

DocProc - 30 Jul 2006 10:26 - 71 of 189

Her father, although he has been charged, hasn't yet entered a plea of Guilty or Not Guilty.

She would only have been required to give evidence against him if his plea was for Not Guilty.

Not a lot of help to a young girl's state of mind though, if you ask me.

Sad!

Howard0181 - 01 Aug 2006 11:13 - 72 of 189

The competition will close at midnight Sunday 6th August 2006.

Splat,
Did you play keyboard on this or did the she go for a quality backing group?

Purchased today look forward to listening to it.
Best of luck

Dave

Howard,
