Earthport: Ready to fly (EPO)

jdubb - 04 Mar 2004 17:44

Some good news at last from this weeks Shares mag. Tim Freeborn revisits the company and altho no firm details are given about new deals he says they will be announced this quarter. I would think that this could be at the same time as the interim results are announced. I for one will be holding on cos they will fly sooner rather than later! ( 8.30% up today!)

EWR

Thanks a million for taking the time to explain that to me. Now I feel I have a base from which I can spring and hopefully get to read the signs along the way.

dibbles - 08 Nov 2004 22:39 - 624 of 706

2.5m trade at the end of the day,
was it a buy or a sell, guess we'll know tomorrow although someone on advfn
bb claims it was a buy as he knows who bought them and that more deals are
on the way.....
hope he's right but we shall see......

dibbles - 09 Nov 2004 21:26 - 625 of 706

well, still a little life in the old girl yet then.....
i mean epo, not er indoors.....

dibbles - 09 Nov 2004 21:33 - 626 of 706

Does anybody know whats happened with wanadoo?
Has it been delayed or wasn't it mean't to go live yet?
Is there anybody home?

dibbles - 11 Nov 2004 22:10 - 627 of 706

Sharemess - 12 Nov 2004 11:28 - 628 of 706

Is this news that you meant Saanebs ?

EWRobson - 16 Nov 2004 09:03 - 629 of 706

Contract news at last! Decent revenues, particularly in year 2 and 3. Looks good - and genuine! Anyway, switched some funds in as price seems unlikely to stay at 1.25p bid.

ssanebs - 16 Nov 2004 09:17 - 630 of 706

another small deal to keep the coffers topped up. As EPO are setting this up for the client the 1st year will prob make nothing if they extend on the deal with clients year 2 & 3 will be good, if EPO are still around!

EWRobson - 16 Nov 2004 13:04 - 631 of 706

ssanebs

Given its a sound deal, the value of the futures is that they give a basis for borrowings and thus underpin the share price. I wonder if anyone can vouch, in turn, for Interconsult. I suppose there must be a bit of fear that it is an insider job - scratching the back - particularly as nothing is paid up front. The buying is solid enough; though, with the price of the shares, it only amounts to some 60K worth so far. Nevertheless, it is the second bit of positive news within three weeks; if this keeps going the price will really start to recover. The cap. is only 6m so a reliable 3m in 2007, if it is reliable and followed up by others, should do wonders for the sp.

Where are the old faithfuls - and unfaithfuls?

Eric

dibbles - 16 Nov 2004 16:22 - 632 of 706

ssanebs,

as you are closer to epo than most i thought i'd ask you......
rumour is going round again that wages have not been paid for october....
just wondered whether you can enlighten us further, one way or other?

EWRobson - 16 Nov 2004 22:30 - 633 of 706

Do any of our city people know Interconsult? - can't find anything on the websites. First, do they really exist? - at least the anwer to this is yes, because Financial Dynamics say so. In teresting that the co-signatories are a PR advisor rather than financial analysts - no sign of Nabarro Wells; proably better paying the PR firm anyway. Second, are they credible, viable and are the business volumes realistic.

ssanebs

Any info. on funding? Plus dibbles question re cash and staff payment. Or is this malicious rumour from discontented former employee(s) - which we've had before on this bb.

A good trading day. Mind, its only 65K of buys but its 1% of the equity. Marked up on the RNS and then didn't move. Funny, other companies move more, e.g. BNH, on much less volume. Having lost quite a packet last time round, would be good to get it back - not so good to throw good money after bad! On balance, this looks good news and could be a good reference sell for other projects. Other views? Or has everyone else gone assuming the light was out?

............................................................................

I assume you are referring to JW, if so this is not a malicious rumour , how dare you suggest this.I challenge you to speak to EPO staff leaving the Chandos Street or New Street Offices ( Behind Magpie Pub off Liverpool Street offices which Terry Smith CEO Collins Stewart used to occupy )They will soon confirm what you need to know, trust you understand.

Interconsult Ltd is a new co with no existing revenues as is one of their associated companies Interconsult International which filed dormant accounts 2002, anyway don't go on what financial dynamics say, check the facts, remember this deal is subject to regulatory clearance, epo chose not to provide timescale for such.

As for fundraising, well expect news very soon or at worst when results are released, interesting to see this announcement including price.

John Bryson - 16 Nov 2004 23:02 - 635 of 706

Eric,
Have been following this thread for a while now, and I love your optimism (allbeit tempered with a suitable degree of prudence and realism). Was tempted by this offering at 0.83p at week or so ago, and wish I had now, but this mini revival seems born out of another dawn of false hope. I haven't sufered the losses you guys have, but the prospect of a significant recovery looks pretty slim from my (relatively uninformed) position.

PS I think ssanebs turned the lights off when he left !!!!

JW

Thanks for note. No offence meant - wouldn't blame you, anyway, for a touch of disgruntlement. Also liked JAB observations re realism, etc.. I accept your reading of the situation - although you do beleive they will reach the next results! The realism means that the probability dips below evens again so have just got out, as quickly as I got back in, and with just a modest loss. I don't have a problem moving funds around; there are plenty of homes with strong potential at the moment. I need to move some funds over to Blue Index anyway - need to restore my exposure in ASC via CFDs and PET also calls. Good luck guys.

Thanks for prompt and honest response.

Every investor must make their own decisions based on the information available but i'm afraid latest RNS is just more of the same, little has changed in my opinion.

More detail (giving value of deal!)
earthport plc ("The Company")

earthport signs agreement with The Global Invoice Corporation

earthport plc, the electronic payment services company (EPO.L), has signed an
agreement to host, on the earthport UPN platform, the transactions for the
innovative electronic Invoyce system supplied by The Global Invoice Corporation.

Invoyce is a formatted messaging system for sending, receiving and inputting
invoices, credit notes and remittance advices for all business-to-business
transactions around the world and was designed by The Global Invoice Corporation
to address the accelerating demand for a B2B e-invoicing solution.

The system eliminates the need for suppliers to print and post their invoices
and confirm receipt of documentation. Suppliers can upload information straight
from their accounting systems onto the invoice, eliminating the need for manual
keying of information and saving up to half of the estimated 20 cost of
processing a paper invoice.

Invoices arrive in a standardised electronic format eliminating the need for
customers to incur processing costs involved in opening, checking and keying in
the information into their invoice receivables system, as the batch file of
invoices can be downloaded straight into the organisation's Accounts Payable
system.

As invoices transmitted through Invoyce are considered legitimate documents
(Customs and Excise notice 700/63 December 2003) in their own right, users do
not have to bear the cost of storing paper invoices received (invoices need to
be stored a minimum of 7 years in the UK - every country has different
legislative requirements).

Alistair Binnie, presently Managing Principal of Oxford Consulting Associates, a
strategy and change management consulting firm, is heading up The Global Invoice
Corporation.

earthport will earn a once only licence fee of 1,992,000. In addition
earthport will receive 50% of Invoyce net revenues in excess of the licence fee
over the five-year period commencing December 2004. earthport revenue for year
two as predicted by The Global Invoice Corporation is 3,969,000.

Rob Cunningham, earthport CEO, said, "Invoyce is a massive opportunity for
earthport which will produce solid revenue from an entirely new field of
activity. An important feature is that the lead time for implementation is very
short and the joint proposition is very compelling."

Alistair Binnie, The Global Invoice Corporation CEO, commented, "We're delighted
to have earthport's rock-solid technology supporting our service. With such
high volumes of secure messages being routed through us from around the world,
earthport's capability and technical excellence make it the obvious choice for
our business."
