PIPEX COMMUNICATIONS - TIPPED FOR 2004 (PXC)

moneyman - 03 Jan 2004 20:03

Tipped by the independent 2/01/2004

........."And so to our traditional "wild card". Pipex Communications, formerly known as GX Networks, is a telecoms company created by one of the entrepreneurs behind Ukbetting, Peter Dubens. It has been assembled from six smaller players. The ambitious company is generating cash for the first time but is still not widely followed in the City. It could be an undiscovered gem".

I find it incredible that there can be so many people with the knowledge to go and dump their shares without any announcement. 19 mill sales and trading at 6.9 buy now!

Troys - 26 Oct 2004 16:19 - 631 of 1874

Very tempting to buy in again.

Mack 1705 - 26 Oct 2004 16:20 - 632 of 1874

reckon there is something like 2.12bn shares on issue

the big chunks sold only represent less than 1% however you got to wonder why they have accepted 6.5p a share?

WTF do they know?

willfagg - 26 Oct 2004 16:33 - 633 of 1874

Still represents 1.3 million shares sold today. only traded 500k volume buys shares in last 20 mins

Troys - 26 Oct 2004 16:34 - 634 of 1874

Topped up again.

willfagg - 26 Oct 2004 16:38 - 635 of 1874

well we will go down the pan together. But i feel very suspicious at these movements.I have been in and out of Pxc twice on the way down , where I have thought they looked good value. I am just keeping everything crossed that i have got it right this time!

Troys - 26 Oct 2004 16:55 - 636 of 1874

I have so much crossed i need to be double jointed. I'm sticking with them. good or bad. Would just like some news.

mickeyskint - 26 Oct 2004 17:01 - 637 of 1874

I really dispair with this. A well run company does nothing very much and then falls 11%. Is it top up or dump time. Mystic Meg where are you.

couldnt have put it better, have been a fan for ages and keep waiting for the good times to roll.i originally bought about a year ago, but the price kept dropping , so i baled out at a loss. When i felt they had again reached a cheap price i bought in again.....down the share price went again and again i baled out. so here we are at today .............and i thought they looked cheap again! Sorry i must be the kiss of death

andysmith - 26 Oct 2004 22:02 - 639 of 1874

will,
I thought I was the only kiss of death!!! welcome to the club.
Dipped in with small purchase at 8p in September. Tipped everywhere I read about it and many of you chaps, more experienced than I am at this lark seem enthused about it BUT what the clucking bell is going on here!!!!
Is PXC about to acquire OR will C&W buy PXC now they have some cash raised today? Is someone hoping to provoke baling & drive the price down for bargains ahead of good news? We can hope!!

ptholden - 26 Oct 2004 22:09 - 640 of 1874

Clucking Bell sums it up Andy! Like Willfagg, I have been a 'believer' for quite some time, sub 7p seems a ridiculous SP for this company. Something, I guess is going on, lets hope whatever it is, its good! For now, baffled.

PTH

PS Can't see you losing out at 8p though IMHO.

andysmith - 26 Oct 2004 22:21 - 641 of 1874

PTH, thanks and hope you're right. recently given new job with increased sales of 400%, wish my salary and share portfolio did the same!!
Sticking with PXC for now though.

goldfinger - 26 Oct 2004 22:55 - 642 of 1874

Could it be a big seller for example a trust just taking profits???.

cheers GF.

moneyman - 26 Oct 2004 22:56 - 643 of 1874

Could it be Nildram or Host Directors cashing in ?

willfagg - 26 Oct 2004 23:09 - 644 of 1874

would it really be profit taking? the share price has been uninspiring to say the least and if you believe the graphs the patients dying! It would have been difficult to make a profit out of PXc in the last year!
Seriously though to recap- everyone and his auntie(regretably mine are all dead)has tipped PXC over the last two months + they have done everything right(management, acquisitions, latest tech.broadband)so when it goes below 8p it screams at you "im cheap buy me!"It then collapses with over 1million of sales to a buy price of 6.9p in a day!!!!!! Dont you think just a tiny comment from the company is in order.Perhaps it would read " Dear investors our share price continues to spiral downwards and we have gone to lunch and do not care!" I jest or do I?Maybe the management is not so hot or extremely arrogant/conceited.

willfagg - 27 Oct 2004 00:02 - 645 of 1874

Dear All ,
Copy of e mail sent to PXC website. Sent out of frustration. I am sure i missed a lot of good technical points but I wanted to get over the frustration which i believe we are feeling, although I obviously spoke for myself.

Dear Sir/Madam
Their have been numerous positive comments about PXC over the last two months but the share price continues its downward spiral.Today it reached new depths with a large number of sells(21 million) and the shares now available to buy at 6.9pence! What is most amazing is your silence. Whats happenning to make the price drop from 12p to 7p! A supposedly successful acquisitive, well managed company?Should you not be making at least some reassuring comments to your loyal investors? If you read any of the investor threads you will know there are a band of investors who believe in the management of PXC and its products. When the world appears to be collapsing around our ears and our investment going down the toilet it would be good to see some concern and reaction from the PXC management.Perhaps even some communication would be appreciated!

Hi Will, good letter thanks for taking the time to action this.

I honestly think theres a big seller out there just getting rid of stock and taking a profit. Please remember there werent that many transactions today and three of them were,

11,250,000
4,000,000
2,000,000

all at 6.5p.

Now when Dubens started buying telephone infrastructure up under Gxn he placed shares to raise funds, heres the RNS.....................

GX Networks plc (the 'Company')

Placing

The Company announces that 236,667,000 New Ordinary Shares ('New Shares') of 1p
each have been conditionally placed with institutional investors (subject to
admission of the New Shares becoming effective on or before 31 March 2003 or
such later date as the Company and Collins Stewart may agree being no later than
7 April 2003) at a price of 2.125p per share to raise 5.03 million (before
expenses) for the Company.ENDS.

So in fact if an instiution hadnt already sold they are still onto a cracking profit even at 6.5p.

I might be totaly wrong but I cant think it can be anything else.

cheers GF.
