DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

Thanks, Kimolfield - I traced back.... IMHO it was June/July 2013 ( with some Ann. earlier - possibly April 2013 . . . the gist was the co issued lots of stock to "Leap-over plc" and then CONsolidated - so anyone with less than ( almost ) 3,000 shares got nothing.
That's what I call a RIPoff, not a CONsolidation, although to be kind . . . no, I can't think of anything.
+ TRUTH is this Co in the earlier Guise of Stanelco tried to sell potato starch but couldn't . . . then tried . . Dunno . . . but couldn't . . . INDEED that Couldn't's have always been their Top-Of-The-Form perhaps they should be renamed Couldn't plc . . . . at least that would warn anyone new to Investing.
+++Whatever happened to anyone that's managed to stay with this . . . . ?

Sitting at my laptop this morning watching the autumn leaves fall when I decided to look in to see how Biome are doing as not checked for a while.
Looks like the same old story of nothing doing, so went back to watching the leaves fall, far more interesting.
Mind you the leaves are going in the same direction as the SP.

Trading update (or downdate).
I would love to know the word/comment count re Biome trading updates for, promising, later stages of development, subdued turnover a result of, order outlook is strong, reflects the vitality, coffee pods.
This company probably has one of those stamps you can buy (shows how old fashioned I am, I think they can do the same with a computer, IE save/print) that has the above words on it.
I do not though think this company is a joke as jokes are supposed to be funny and surely by now even newish holders can see this company for what it is.
