Fox Davies the broker has put a tag of 175p on this, that's miles up....very nice indeed....on a bad day in the markets we have ended up a little bit....wish there were more UK companies like this out there, Sterling Energy is a big risk because in the event of a crude no-show there, there is nothing much to stop the sp from plunging unlike GKP who still have the assets in Algeria and have been awarded several other blocks, the problem with Iraq is that there is plenty of oil but you could be unlucky with just nothing on your patch, this also applies to Petrel Resources who might get a license out there but is there anything down there ?...only the drillbit can say....

Must not forget Heritage oil...wish they would start drilling again....

other than the fact that the share has been diluted,take that into account,nothing more has changed,the company is now secure and they HAVE high grade oil,havins said that the sp has doubled in three days.
I was luck to get in early,bound to be a retrace,but the trend over the next few months will probably be up.
Good luck whatever you decide,lets see whats CYNICS take is on this.

But not a huge amount of oil and if pressure drops off again will need cash to get it out plus they stopped the well last winter now they've opened it before this winter coming....... puzzled.

GPK is rather more risky than AFR, though this bunch have also clearly found a damn good field ..... last part of previous post def applies, though for myself i think i am very happy (dementia is so cruel!) to be holding as much here as i do in AFR - at today's values
