Some good news at last from this weeks Shares mag. Tim Freeborn revisits the company and altho no firm details are given about new deals he says they will be announced this quarter. I would think that this could be at the same time as the interim results are announced. I for one will be holding on cos they will fly sooner rather than later! ( 8.30% up today!)

just come through this looks like a good contract win.........good field to be in...not had time to look at it in depth but one for the future revenues again......I am getting more confident now..........what do the others think?

signed an agreement with the Global Invoice Corporation to host on the earthport
UPN platform transactions for the electronic Invoyce system.

Under the deal, earthport will earn a once off licence fee of 1.99 mln stg
and will also will receive 50 pct of Invoyce net revenues in excess of the
licence fee over the five-year period commencing December 2004.

earthport revenue for year two as predicted by The Global Invoice
Corporation is 3.96 mln stg.

The ceo of earthport, Rob Cunningham, said, "Invoyce is a massive
opportunity for earthport which will produce solid revenue from an entirely new
field of activity. An important feature is that the lead time for implementation

earthport signs agreement with The Global Invoice Corporation



earthport plc, the electronic payment services company (EPO.L), has signed an
agreement to host, on the earthport UPN platform, the transactions for the
innovative electronic Invoyce system supplied by The Global Invoice Corporation.



Invoyce is a formatted messaging system for sending, receiving and inputting
invoices, credit notes and remittance advices for all business-to-business
transactions around the world and was designed by The Global Invoice Corporation
to address the accelerating demand for a B2B e-invoicing solution.



The system eliminates the need for suppliers to print and post their invoices
and confirm receipt of documentation. Suppliers can upload information straight
from their accounting systems onto the invoice, eliminating the need for manual
keying of information and saving up to half of the estimated 20 cost of
processing a paper invoice.



Invoices arrive in a standardised electronic format eliminating the need for
customers to incur processing costs involved in opening, checking and keying in
the information into their invoice receivables system, as the batch file of
invoices can be downloaded straight into the organisation's Accounts Payable
system.



As invoices transmitted through Invoyce are considered legitimate documents
(Customs and Excise notice 700/63 December 2003) in their own right, users do
not have to bear the cost of storing paper invoices received (invoices need to
be stored a minimum of 7 years in the UK - every country has different
legislative requirements).

strategy and change management consulting firm, is heading up The Global Invoice

The news is only just out and already a massive hike in the sp today. Large buying vols so all the penny share tipsters will be filling their boots.When joe public get to hear about this from the papers and tipsheets the price may be 5-10p.

5-10p doesn't sound Realistic!

Its a couple of million smackers! No licence revenue until well down the road but the key thing is that there is cash to see the company through to the upgraded systems and it also looks like a good new application area. Out of the share (can't be everywhere) and have been busy decorating son's new home so missed the immediate buying opportunity. Will take a view tomorrow depending on trading. Congrats to the faithful! What's the view from The Magpie, Jonny?

Can you confirm licence fee is payable up front, do you know anything about The Global Invoice Corporation Ltd, check latest accounts and balance sheet, when you do tell me where the money is to pay upfront 2m licence fee, maybe i need a crash course to teach me the art of creative accounting.

A little reminder there of who's really in charge of the stock market.

Haven't followed this up properly, but isn't it a little odd that a Board Director quits less than a week before an (apparently) significant contract win? Or was this related to the Baltimore court case or something else entirely?

Otherwise, how many people on here are just looking to recoup their losses before heading for the exit ??

jw deserves response to his questions. Info. please on Global Invoice Corporation. RNS reads more credibly than previous effort. Oxford Consulting man at head. Financial Analysts as co-signatories. Short implementation period, apparently by end-December, so not long to wait. We know that strength of earthport is in their IT systems and links to financial institutions so appears credible. Good to put this one to bed.

surely all we can hope for is contract wins and then pray they come to fruition. Well I do as i am not selling or topping up as I have said previous I hold 440k averaged at 3.25p approx. Have to be honest I am not even doing any research anymore on EPO as I will risk the downside. Is anyone going to the AGM?

I suppose time will prove one of us being right, however i have genuine concerns about what this partner can deliver including upfront payment, quite simply when one looks at this companies balance sheet it does not strike me they can deliver numbers mentioned in RNS but stress only my personal opinion.

After having spoken to a colleague who had spoken to epo they say that global invoyce corp already have 20 clients currently, also the statement made clearly states that epo will EARN a one off licence fee of 1.9m, and not be paid up front. So the the first 1.9m will go to epo and then it will be on a 50% basis. Epo say they have trialled the invoicing system themselves and it works well. So again no upfront money and hoping on the success of electronic invoicing which is requied in Europe, but not law in the uk. But with invices required to be kept for 6 years it is a nightmare to store and gain quick access.Mr Binnie is just a one man band, not able to find any history on him, but sounds genuine. I tried to speak to him and he said he could not without Rc being with him, so at least he has some ethics.
