Spacie - that's terrible. No wonder GB is in such a state with half the country failing to cope with a few bevvies the night before. ;-) Well done for making the morning! LOL!

Just got back home after an hour out in the country watching the Perseid Meteor Shower, we saw about 20, very nice.

Got up at 2.40 to watch the meteors, went back to bed at 3.10 after seeing nothing.......Never saw anything at all then until 9.30.

optimistic, they were about 1 minute apart and varied a lot in brightness and amount of sky they covered, the best one we saw was the first one as it streaked across the whole sky. You really need to be away from town lights, if you can see some of the fainter stars clearly then your eyes are sensitive enough to pick them up. Apparently the best technique is to lay on the ground and look at the sky your brain will notice the movement very quickly. We leant against the car and looked north.
You should be able to see them again tonight, but if you watch the sky you get them every night, this shower just ensures there are a lot more than normal.

Morning all. Just popped in for a quick bite before starting the shopping round. All this talk of showers reminds me I have to find some gold taps for the new bath. I'd better be quick about it or Choccy will be getting the whip out..............again.

Gold's becoming a bit expensive, Socks - and taps is taps.
I'm more concerned about where you're going to put them.
Which reminds me - is there plenty of bike space?

Spacie, thanks for the tips on star watching. Unfortunately if I were lain on the ground or leant against the car at 3.00am I may have other things on my mind ;-))

Thanks fundy, I managed to get one. My son wanted a memory stick pro due for his sony eric phone. The catalogue had a picture of the memory stick duo pro but the item was a memory stick pro which is different. He tried to get a refund but as he had opened it they wouldnt admit any fault. They said they didnt have the catalogue with it in (from last saturday).
So the Argos Manager is going to get a lashing tomorrow.
