TFC - you and i tend to agree quite regularly ..... like you, i find it difficult to evaluate XEL - i.e. what is fair price ..... i SUSPECT that sp is still somewhat ahead of the game (so why don't i sell more/all?) but only the flowtest result will give any real clue ..... even then, almost regardless of the result, i would not be at all surprised to see an immediate slump in sp as the PIs and derivative holders cash in ..... that's exactly what happened with CEY after their results, and there was a short (small - you can't have short windows!) window of opportunity to jump in cheaply

required field - 19 Nov 2010 14:24 - 658 of 3002

There is a big difference between CEY and this one....cannot compare....if the flow is good and at the moment it looks as if it will be, then confirming a heck of a lot of crude in pllace will send the sp higher.....after a couple of days who knows...?..but for the moment,... up looks more likely to me...

cynic - 19 Nov 2010 14:41 - 659 of 3002

you missed the point - re-read .... meanwhile, sp continues to drift

required field - 19 Nov 2010 14:48 - 660 of 3002

Crude is down....dragging oilies with it....

markymar - 19 Nov 2010 15:06 - 661 of 3002

Nothing is certain in life and things could go wrong for XEL but so far its been a great story which could get even better with a good flow test, I also think an upgrade in reserves makes this share a buy. Both theses factors should put a couple of pounds on the share price hence I have bought 10,200 today and put them in to an ISA.

Boat to be in place and ready for Monday and things will run from there

Looks like Tuesday before any start on testing, from what I hear there is nothing going on at present that we should worry about.

glad to see you have your priorities right Cynners in so far as weighing up a place by the standard of eateries it boasts within its envorons. / depends on the female company obviously in addition,,,( OT,,,,) -> What with your line of work have you ever come across an outfit called Gall and Thompson - suppliers to oil ind. Currently is a subsid of Lup Cap (LUP) which ex Tomkins entrepreneur Greg Hutchins bought, and reinvented, as a supplier to a niche mkt of the building industry. Now ousted himself by a new board whose personnel all have a background in building and construction there is quite naturally talk of it selling off its oil arm G&T to concentrate on core activities ..Juste so happens G&T is is a positive cash cow bought @ a time when LUP was a shell under Michael Flight, Oliver Stockern and James Orr in 1990s .....Orr actually gave up his highly paid job as Barclays head bean counter with most attractive salary and fringe benefits to become FD of tiny LUP . Says it all really ........Also watch out for a soon to be announced floating of a company called Madagascar oil ......ACC. to oil guru/ author Peter Odell the country is sitting on a bed of the stuff.......,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,..
