pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!

Price dropping yet again, so what did I do. Topped up a bit. Must be mad, but just got a feeling.
If my recent dealings are anything to go by, now just watch it really dive.

I topped up last week, maybe I should have waited for sub 8p. Piece in the Shares mag favouring Lidco over DEMG, and a recent announcement by DEMG questioning the waveform technology used by LID infact related to a device made by Edward Life Sciences, if you are going to criticise be sure of the facts DEMG. (If the shares article is correct that is).

Anyone noticed the narrow spread today of 3.03%. Well below the normal (tends to be between 6 to 10%), which leads me to believe (probably wrong, as who can read the market at the moment) that there are trades bubbling under the surface.

Can't say I noticed the spread greekman, and are those trades on the buy side or the sell side, all will be revealed no doubt.

A bit of movement between 1524 and 1536 hrs with almost 50% of the days trades traded (or reported/registered) in those 12 minutes. The only late reported trade was the sell at 1524 hrs.

Nice to see a director putting their money where their mouth is.....Julian Cazalet, a non-executive Director, notified the Company yesterday that on 9 September 2009 he purchased 250,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ('Shares') at 8.50 pence per share. Julian Cazalet now owns 2,139,744 Shares.

As you say, excellent news. Data on the first 234 patients from the 10 participating hospitals shows average length of stay in hospital reduced from 13 days to seven.
Another No Brainer and yet the sp just manages to creep up.

What a nice ring that word 'mandatory' has to it.

Placing.....Good news or Bad.

As for the placing instead of going for a rights issue, usually I feel aggrieved when existing shareholders are not given a chance to be included, BUT in this instance I am wondering if the far quicker way of raising cash is due to the requirement of such cash soonest. After all on 3 September 2009 the Company announced its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2009. In that announcement it was reported that in the UK sales of the Company's operating theatre probes had increased by 17 per cent. and, other than the record probe sales achieved in December 2008, Deltex Medical delivered its best ever months for probe sales in each of April, June and July during the current financial year. In its most developed region in the USA the Company increased both probe volumes and revenues by over 50 per cent. Sales to distributors in Europe increased by over 40 per cent.

I just hope that there is a biggish contract in the very near offing.
The market seems to like it. Wonder what they know that we don't, as placings usually without some specific statement usually don't have this much positive effect on the sp.

Looks like I was right for a change re something in the offing. OK not yet a contract but todays RNS is I feel the match that will ignite Deltex's share price. I feel that this latest news will launch the company on the road to profitability.
We have had so many false dawns (not really the companies fault) just procrastination on the part of Health Authorities.
Surely we have now reached the point of confidence overruling negativity.

Part of todays news release states.....The study, on critically ill patients in intensive care, noted unacceptably large percentage errors in the PPWA device relative to ODM and poor correlation after haemodynamic change. It noted that most validation studies of PPWA approaches had been performed in select groups of surgical patients and that few of these had assessed PPWA's ability to track change.

The study concluded that: the PPWA device "showed poor agreement" with ODM as the reference technique.

Lidco is often mentioned as a rival to Deltex. As I understand it apart from their product being slightly more evasive than the Deltex product, am I correct in believing that the Lidco system is the PPWA system that is mentioned above. If not it looks o have far more similarities to the PPWA system than the ODM.
Usually don't like to ask questions when I can find the answers myself, but have spent over an hour trying to confirm or not to no avail.

greekman the outlook seems to be improving albeit slowly. You are correct see post 659 and the shares mag for 3/9/09 (which I have unfortunately binned). As for the placing I also think the requirement for quick cash was the important factor, and @ 2.7% discount who can complain.

Many thanks your reply. As your post of 659 has confirmed my query re Lidco and their PPWA system (or as need as dam it) I think that the latest from Deltex could/should mean that they now start to pull way ahead. If I held shares in Lidco I would be very worried indeed.

Ah, Faith (I'm an atheist) patience I have very little. But yes one day.

Strange. Up to 1043 hrs shares on the AIM were almost parallelling with those on Plus. Since 1043 hrs there have been no trades on AIM and yet a continuation on Plus of about the same consistency.
What say they are (for whatever reason) not releasing trades on AIM and saving them for later release as they sometimes do when a large deal is forthcoming.
I don't believe there have been no trades since 1043 hrs on one market when the trading pattern has continued on another.

Placing or not, its nice to see a new player take a stake of over 9% of the company. Slight discount or not, it shows faith in the product and the company.

Gartmore have taken 420,000 more. Not much of an increase in their holdings, but an increase all the same. What I and no doubt all of us are waiting for are increases of several million, that will no doubt precede some explosive news. Something to really move this share.
