Another beaten up oil junior starting to bounce (CHAR)

kate bates - 02 Apr 2009 13:29

Don't like doing threads but have been alerted to this one as it trades well below cash position and allegedly has directorate links with the massive Petrobas. Last broker target was something like 165p - currently 26! The bates is in.

also, resources and (recoverable) reserves are totally and utterly different.
for sure, when the lemmings have had their fill, this share will fall like a brick as there is nothing to sustain it - well that's what i think anyway

required field - 16 Mar 2010 09:30 - 67 of 474

EK is bound to short this....beware Mitzy...take profits soon....

cynic - 16 Mar 2010 11:10 - 68 of 474

my strong advice is to take profits NOW
sp is starting to slip, but more interestingly, it is impossible to short this stock either as CFD or s/b - i.e. lots of peeps already short and no one willing to lend stock

mitzy - 16 Mar 2010 14:20 - 69 of 474

You are so wrong.

cynic - 16 Mar 2010 16:31 - 70 of 474

i shall be delighted to be wrong, but i very much note that no one but no one has come up with any sensible reasons as to why this stock should have rocketed away, let alone why it should hold that rise.

on the other hand, it is very clear that an awful lot of people also hold my view, for otherwise there would be stock to borrow (i.e. as the counter-balance of the short)

finally, your so-called profit is ephemeral and could easily disappear in a puff .... so for goodness sake take a BIG slice of profit if you have not already done so

mitzy - 16 Mar 2010 18:49 - 71 of 474

Oil is $82 a barrel tonight and the price on the forecourt is rising by the day I am forecasting oil at $100 a barrel in 2 months time and I have invested in Char and Matd for 10 baggers potential.

cynic - 16 Mar 2010 20:05 - 72 of 474

mitzy - use some logic and common sense ..... the one has nothing to do with the other ...... you are showing every sign of being totally blinded by greed

required field - 16 Mar 2010 20:41 - 73 of 474

Cyneers is right Mitzy : for an sp to remain high , you have to be drilling...MATD will be very soon...the other is just potential...try and time your exit on the latter.

mitzy - 16 Mar 2010 21:42 - 74 of 474

I hold both rf and will not sell for at least 2 months when I expect the oil price to rocket to $100 plus..gl.

mitzy - 17 Mar 2010 16:12 - 75 of 474

Classic hammer bottom reversal today..

mitzy - 18 Mar 2010 12:38 - 76 of 474

Incredible to think it was just 15p last Septenber.

HARRYCAT - 18 Mar 2010 12:49 - 77 of 474

Even you must have a target in mind, surely??? This can't go on forever!
Great to see someone making oodles of dosh though. Sadly, wasn't on my radar.

cynic - 18 Mar 2010 12:50 - 78 of 474

i remain truly staggered but delighted to be wrong, at least for now

kate bates - 19 Mar 2010 12:39 - 79 of 474

I'm still around Cynic, still watching you and holding this. Been very ill this last 6 months but seems i've got the all clear now. Hope you kept TMC as well.

Balerboy - 19 Mar 2010 12:50 - 80 of 474

I suspect cynics reply would be something like "a bit of home brew put it right" lol

cynic - 19 Mar 2010 12:56 - 81 of 474

i still have TMC .... if i had certificates, they would be used to line the bottom drawer.
i don't hold these (CHAR), though i watch in stunned amazement - it still looks very much like an indian rope trick to me
for squitty stocks, i would have thought XEL made a much better investment, though that too is horribly illiquid - but at least it seems to have genuine potential

genuinely sorry to hear that you have been very ill, for i assumed you had been boiled in oil or burnt at the stake ..... anyway clearly not terminal - i don't believe in voices from "the other side" - and trust you are indeed fully recovered and not just in remission or similar.

Balerboy - 19 Mar 2010 13:24 - 82 of 474

lol ....can't believe you said that...:))

cynic - 19 Mar 2010 13:45 - 83 of 474

shame on you then!
only my late f-in-law did i regularly wish dead ...... now that it is several years since he obliged (stake through heart ensured and buried at x-roads), i find myself able to speak well of him in certain respects from time to time

Balerboy - 19 Mar 2010 14:19 - 84 of 474

remind me never to cross you........;)) or even meet you....lol

cynic - 22 Mar 2010 10:26 - 85 of 474

you've seen the rocket; are you about to see the stick?
