Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Balerboy all wells will be capped and abandoned its just this one has about 250 million barrels of oil in it. There is a ship on the way to do a full test on it!

EMU .... it is not impossible that this well will be be C&A, but not necessarily because the well/site is uneconomic ..... Big Al and others who are far far more knowledgeable than I will, I think, confirm that this is often done while the extent of the whole field is established and thus the best areas/holes from which to extract

Sold out.....had to take some profits and then clicked the whole lot....risen so much in such a short time...and a lot depends on testing and such...will be back....

Well done rf. You can't lose profit in the bank (usually).
Have sold 50% & will hold the rest to see what happens. I expect the sp to slide over the next few weeks, so am happy to pick up some more then.

Just could not get past that 100p mark, if it had we might have seen 105p or so...shades of Afren here...reality check now...funnily enough I can foresee DES remaining up a bit...perhaps not dropping back so much....anyway we shall see...but it's looking good for the suite of the drilling campaign...
