You're welcome SWW. They must have thought the data was significantly (like that word) important enough to release to the market today. Also, there was a rumour in one of the newspapers today that HNR had encountered oil in quantity.

I guess if the rumour was out then best to release information to the market. Sounds like they are excited about the results, just as we are. As for reserves matching the North Sea, well I wouldnt know about that so couldn't comment. But considering the size of investment and number of companies operating there the reserves must be very significant indeed. A good time to be invested in that region, and we are in with a cracker here, IMO of course. I think it may start to take time for some investors to realise that we have a free carry in this region, but I think now that some are perhaps just realising this.

Nice blue start to the day.

Too true.

My North Sea was as you guessed, wishful!

This has just come out as a summation.

UK small cap opening - Hardman higher on Mauritania success
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Hardman Resources hardened 1-1/2 at 98-1/2 on news of more exploration success off the coast of Mauritania.

Partner Woodside Petroleum said the Tevet-1 exploration well intersected a gross gas column of approximately 70 meters above a gross oil column of approximately 44 meters.

It also said the Tiof-3 appraisal well, in the same block, which was testing a separate feature, intersected a gross oil column of 134 meters.

The exploration and production company has said the Tiof field has the potential to be as big as the Chinguetti oil project which has gross reserves of 120 mln barrels of oil.

Thanks for that. Wonder if we will get a release from SEY? Didn't last time so not expecting one today but who know's.

So far in this drilling campaign I would say that it's been very successful. So makes you think just how much oil and gas is out there. Your North Sea dream may come true SWW! Plenty of more newsflow to come out with the daily Tuesday updates, but this one was a very nice bonus. Great way to end the week. :-))

happy days indeed...morning all, late in after dropping the little ones (5 and 3) at school.

loving the info and banter...north sea, extra press releases and a bloomberg and IC mention should make for an enjoyable day....

come on the SEY!

oil seems to be flavour of the day at the moment. Also have FTO,PET.some sensational growth potential here, just keeping everything crossed. Blue is such a nice colour!

seawallwalker - 08 Oct 2004 11:23 - 683 of 7811

Well, so far a brilliant week.

I am not a millionaire yet, but................ who knows?

This looks like a fantastic stock to be in,as I always suspected.

Lets give a thought to the guys who made this posible, the Board of Fusion Oil & Gas.

Thanks guys.

Now, when will I hear from PRE and PCI???

proptrade - 08 Oct 2004 11:36 - 684 of 7811

SWW, don't get greedy! it has truely been a great week but i do feel that i am happy rising within the bubble of the sector but it is critical to stick with the quality names.

with commodities at 23 year highs this looks sent to continue on a trend BUT trading disciplines are more important than ever. so many of us saw zeros knocked off the 2000 boom and with this resource bubble i will slowly be scrapping cash off the top at various levels.

saying all that i am in SEY to 100p!

gavdfc - 08 Oct 2004 11:38 - 685 of 7811

Agree such an excellent stock, that's why we've held for a while now. And yes thanks to the Fusion board for their dealings re Mauritania. Conrgatulations must also go to the Sterling board for their foresight to see the value in Mauritania and the direction they took in persuing the Fusion takeover.

We're all in a happy mood this week! :-)))

seawallwalker - 08 Oct 2004 11:39 - 686 of 7811

proptrade.

Sorry you are right of course.

Yours is a good strategy too, and I won't get greedy, well no more than I am now!

I have done enough of this and seen enough to know that I should never count my chickens............

.....................till they are cooked.

There back to food in one :-))

proptrade - 08 Oct 2004 11:50 - 687 of 7811

Proptrade, when I said you have a history of repeating yourself, I did not mean in consecutive comments!
