Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

And the first trade semi decent of the day is a sell. Says it all doesn't it.

My take on things.
I think that the Deltex sp is in a bit of a quagmire position. Due to its almost stagnation it appears that when good news is released and the sp ticks up a tad, punters are so used to it then sliding back down, instead of jumping in on the back of this news they instead think, 'It's ticked up, so I will take this as an opportunity to sell'. Whilst I appreciate when shares tick up this will always happen, in the case of Deltex it does appear disproportionate.
But because of this when/if it really does start to motor, many I feel will have got off the train just as it gains speed and is about to leave the station.

Re the Hanover connection. This could be one of Deltex's most important moves for many months.
Not an expert re Media or/and PR, but as they appear to have difficulty in putting their case over to those that hold the purse strings, it may be that companies such as Hanover can achieve for Deltex what their sales/media personnel can't achieve for themselves.
It might just be the time for Deltex to look for and receive help re sales, even if it costs.
Perhaps Hanover can rattle more cages than Deltex can. I have often thought that more media items, such as 'NHS trusts refuse to spend to save' would perhaps focus minds. With Hanover requesting info via re The Freedom Of Information act, the first cage could be about to rattle.
All IMHO of course.

OK. Share options instead of cash nearly always a good idea, but this is getting a bit too often. Holdings diluted again. Hope we see these options earned soon, and not by just a trickle of sales.

But this shows not just commitment but real confidence, to buy at full price.

Greekman, providing the number of shares awarded was fair remuneration, then I read it as a positive sign. I have a feeling in my Oesophageal Doppler that 2010 will be the year that DEMG and it's sp make real progress. Good luck and A Happy New Year to All.

Hi 2517George,
I totally agree re the 'Fair Remuneration'. Personally I would like to see any bonus/rise in remuneration tied to performance of the sp, or at least to performance of sales.
Yes, the sp can obviously go down therefore knocking the value of any taken up options, but they would still be in pocket unless they really bombed out.
To me 2010 has to be make or break year for Deltex.
By this time next year, we will either be sitting on a very nice gain, or thinking, yet another year without movement.
I do think the odds are they will make it, and make it big, although I also feel it will be a close run thing.
Wishing all a prosperous (I hope you all make money, but I hope I make more than you) and Happy New Year.

Pre close up-date looking fairly good.
Sales are growing in all our key markets and we are on track to achieve cash neutrality assuming continuing sales growth. The margin on sales in the second half of 2009 was approximately equivalent to our planned cash cost base in the first half of 2010.
Record probe sales in all key markets in the final quarter of the year indicate a return toward the strong growth trends established prior to the global financial crisis. The directors expect sales for 2009 to have been in excess of 5.6 million.
Last years full sales were 5,235,000 increased by 26% on the 2007 figure (2007: 4,168,000)
So although not much of an increase, it isn't bad considering the financial climate.
Also with the profit margin equivalent against the first 6 months of 2010 cost base things are looking up.
As said previously, I think 2010 will be make or break year.

Yes indeed.
Results from 1,247 patients included in the project include a greater than 50% reduction in mortality rate and a three day reduction in length of hospital stay.
With comments/figures like this it is as we have often said a no brainer.
Well if they now don't implement it asap they must surely be regarded as negligent if the mortality figures do not reduce.
What part of this don't they understand!
If only the media would get hold of this and the procrastination of the NHS Trust Managers. Would love to see an expose on say Panorama/World in Action.
They need to be shamed into taking action.
Will close now as my Blood Pressure must have shot up a couple of notches.
Grrrrrr.

Thats a bit better, now up 7.5%. What we really need is some big institutional buys. No doubt we will see over the next couple of days if the latest news brings the interest that it warrants.

greekman-----we may at long last be on our way, excellent rns imo and the sp started to respond, quite a way to go yet I reckon, but the signs look good for increased sales.

And yet 2 sells of 1,000,000 plus come in just before close. Shows how punters are looking for any reason to sell on a decent uptick.
Deltex are the largest % of my portfolio, and whilst I am still very positive, especially since todays news, I feel I am in deep enough.

Sells of a million pounds? Surely you mean a million shares!!!
Anyway, I don't believe that they are sells, as the share price has gone UP substantially.

Weren't you guys saying this was a great buy at nearly double the current level ?

Morning Arf/Dil,
Arf, You are right of course, had a grey moment.
Dil, I for one wasn't. I had the sp at about right, due to the potential of the product balanced against the 'is this ever going to take off'.
I still think the sp is not worth double but with the current position, I feel it is just a tad undervalued.
To my mind there is hardly anything a great buy at double sp, unless of course you have insider knowledge.
If values are double, the market as a whole would be jumping in so quick that the sp would reach true value very quickly.
There are as ever exceptions.

Dil, I'm afraid your little grey cells must be fading, I have checked the period when DEMG were double the price and no one has mentioned buy, let alone great buy, the most bullish that I posted was post 440 ie 'Excellent sp performance over the last week or so, the message is getting through at last, 50%+ profit atm, but imo fwiw, we are only just scratching the surface and this could be an exciting and much more profitable ride.'
Same applies today really.

Re post 681(The request by Hanover under Freedom of Information act).
On looking at the NHS Trust site they appear to have answered several requests placed in early October. As the Hanover/Deltex request was made late November, I would expect a reply or at least an update within the next 6 weeks.
I will keep everyone posted.
Note...No doubt as said the news released yesterday will push such Trusts to get moving (perhaps from being stationary to at least a slow crawl), or/and at least give Hanover a quicker response.
For info Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Trusts have on average about 12 such requests under the act per month.

Yet another study that proves the advantages of the CardioQ.
"It confirms the importance of CardioQ-ODM guided fluid management for patients undergoing moderate as well as major surgery."
I expect this to have very little effect on the SP, not because it is insignificant news by itself but because it is 'yet another' such report.
We know that there are now a multiple of these positive results (at the last count approaching 65). We also know how those that hold the purse strings can't see and decide on the obvious.
What points don't these muppets get, The CardioQ saves lives and money. What else is needed!
I am sure we are all frustrated by the continuing procrastination of the slow take up of the system. If I was connected with Deltex I would be looking for as many ways as possible of naming and shamming those who are dragging their feet.
The connection with Hanover must be given time to show results, but the time of treading softly softly has gone. The gloves must come off.
