Morning, good to see you home on a Friday Spacie, even if you are working
but in a different way - a change is as good as a rest :>)

Fundamentalist - 02 Sep 2005 15:54 - 6892 of 24230

Afternoon all

Finally handed back the keys to the dreaded rental house today - now just got the fight to get my deposit back.

Bunny - thanks for the mail :-)

Off to lay yet more ceramic tiles - be in for a beer in a few hours

Greystone - 02 Sep 2005 16:28 - 6893 of 24230

The Great Fire of London broke out on this day in 1666. The fire raged for three days and by the time the flames had died down over 13,000 dwellings had been destroyed, along with 89 churches including St Paul's Cathedral. The fire started accidentally in a bakery in Pudding Lane, but there were suspicions of a Papist plot and a French watchmaker - Robet Hubert - was tried, convicted and sentenced to death for his "crime". He was hanged at Tyburn on 28th September.

Socrates - 02 Sep 2005 17:29 - 6894 of 24230

That's what happens if you're French!

Socrates - 03 Sep 2005 09:17 - 6895 of 24230

jeffmack - 03 Sep 2005 17:09 - 6900 of 24230

Any time Hils
That was for the wife of a Kiwi friend of mine. By day she works for the police as a CSI, by night she does a bit of massage. Strange combination

Socrates - 03 Sep 2005 21:28 - 6901 of 24230

I wouldn't want to rub her up the wrong way, Jeff!

Socrates - 03 Sep 2005 21:29 - 6902 of 24230

Hi Hils, hope all is well with you.

Big Al - 03 Sep 2005 21:34 - 6903 of 24230

Oh well holiday season is officially over now and its back to the axe,tea please!

Socrates - 04 Sep 2005 19:40 - 6908 of 24230

Staff, what staff? Storm brewing here in Gloucs, stiff breeze blown up so expecting flash, bang wallop any time.

I think a whopping great jug of cool Sangria would be very nice right now.

Big Al - 04 Sep 2005 22:03 - 6909 of 24230

Fantastic day here. Muggy evening. Brill. ;-))

Spaceman - 04 Sep 2005 22:37 - 6910 of 24230

Muggy here in Sevenoaks as well and back to work in London tomorrow after a week off. There is nothing I like more that commuting up to town when everyone has finished their holidays and when its still hot and crowded. Commuting from Sevenoaks has the added avantage that in the peak hours I dont normally get a seat so I get to stand for 30 minutes.
