now out of its 90 day average heading toward 700p withing the month as understand the overhang of float shares out of the way

Another notification issued this afternoon of Director purchase. So I make that 3 Directors have added within the last two weeks (including one who has added twice).

I sold 4500 yesterday at 4.33. Today I have bought 2500 at 4.18 and a half pence this morning, and thisafternoon bought 2,000 more at 4.05375p. the average price is now 4.1266 per share. Good job I sold yesterday and have bought back today. Good luck to all holding this one. 930 better off less dealing costs.

jb .... yes, with tight spread and no stamp duty it's certainly a good trading share if you get direction right...... my average from two purchases is about 415p - so not losing sleep over it quite yet.... and the three director buys this month are 'reassuring'.

Janet, you seem to be a genuinely decent person & doing your very best to make money, as we all are. Trading conditions are becoming difficult as more & more stocks are seeing a downturn. Most people on these boards, I hope, are decent people who are trying to share ideas & strategies, but in my opinion you need to be aware that not everyone is the same. Please only tell us the price at which you bought, which is certainly interesting as the entry point to EXPN is really tricky at the moment. It is unwise to also reveal the quantity. You used to do the same on the PRTY thread with scary amounts of money!
Just my opinion & I wish the world was a safe place, but it's not. I wish you luck with your EXPN investment.

Harry ..... agreed.
Despite Experian warning about H2 business, then some parts of their operation are doing quite nicely as regards year on year increase:
PriceGrabber.com(R), a part of Experian, announced earlier today that the shopping comparison site has received an initial increase in traffic to merchants of 54 percent year over year as of 12 p.m. noon PST on this "Cyber Monday." Statistics during the busy shopping weekend show strong growth and momentum going into the holiday season.

I still think there is more downside to most financials at the moment. Lots of little bounces, but the trend is still down. Unfortunately there is no history with EXPN to indicate the bottom.

Just compared the fts100 over the EXPN chart and we seemed to be somewhere similar until August, then EXPN just keep on dropping...with the Directors keep on buying -):

thanyou for yor kind advice harrycat, and I shall now take heed. The market is very difficult at the moment. I feel a lot happier now with my experian shares at the price they are standing me at. The downturn in the english markets is mainly due to all the bad news coming from america. It is very hard to make money in this market. You have to be shrewd. One big mistake is to hold too many companies. Cynic said the other day that he is reducing his holdings. I entirely agree with him. There is far more to go wrong. I am going to thin out also. Also in a falling market. I am going to sell my shares making losses and hopefully buy them back when they fall like experien. good luck all, I believe we will need it.

Todays first RNS indicates yet another Director adding. This time, Alan Jebson (former HSBC chief operating officer), with an additional 20,000 ordinary at a price of 431.50 pence per share on 5 December 2007. So within the last few weeks then four different Directors have added to their holdings....

You may be right, guys, but the trend is still down on the chart, imo.
Maybe worth a punt for a quick profit, but I would need to see a definite move upwards to convince me that sub 400p not is a possibilty.

Harry .... with the movements of this share then sub 400p is always a possibility - whether it be for a temporary blip down or a little longer ..... but I'm I'm happy to hold rather than sit on sidelines again at present price.
This afternoon, another Directors purchase announced. Fabiola Arredondo has added another 56,000 shares - so that's his third top up within a few weeks.....
Directors seem to be calling the bottom now- let's see if they get it right.... !!!

Resent chart looks awful yet Directors continue to buy. 410p does look to be the bottom, but are there further drops to come?.. No idea.
Went to the World Money Show last week while I happened to be in London and this bloke from Vector Vest happened to be talking about EXPNs chart and it's performance...not very complimentary about it I may add. On the + side he failed to say anything about all this Director activity though.
His conclusion was that the Market never lies.
Staying out to be on the safe side as I see it today myself, but continue to watch.
