Media Corp (Gaming Corpoartion GMC)Attracting Some Big Names. (MDC)

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2003 00:33

Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

maybe nothing but I tried to add a few today and was told no trading online please ring the broker--Hoodless Brennan. so topped up elsewhere on another one !

Paulo2 - 01 Jun 2005 09:21 - 702 of 1117

Sold majority of my stake this morning. With no news expected can only see this share drifting downwards for the next few months. Will be looking to get back in at about 10p any time before the finals.

dclinton - 01 Jun 2005 22:21 - 703 of 1117

moneyplus - yes, I often find that HoodlessBrennan, despite their claimed support for small-caps, won't deal online in some shares but that I can get them no problem on iDealing.

From the other side.

I expect to be having a very good Xmas this year thanks to GMC and the gaming
industry.

The SP will play catch up sooner or later, the market can't hold it back for
ever. The growth rate of the industry is so rapid and as every week passes confirmation is read in the news and on the world markets.

Whilst the trading is quiet the Market Makers can move the price around to create some volume, and that is all that is happening at the moment. Unfortunately the people who are being effected most are the short term traders who are running for
cover and nursing losses.

The current Market Cap value is not fairly reflected in the SP at todays levels,
but for the astute buyer it is a bargain entry point for the future levels that
will be seen. Have been hearing whispers that things are afoot and expect some
'out of the blue' news anytime over the next couple of weeks.

Enjoy your evening

cheers-thanks for that bit of encouragement!!

andyeds - 03 Jun 2005 15:01 - 706 of 1117

someone's picking these up at 12p and has been for the last few days...

online you can buy upto 375k at 12p....

a stake is being built quietly.....

why did EK top up at 12.5p when he could have looked at the chart, waited and picked them up cheaper thus lowering his average....

moneyplus - 03 Jun 2005 15:38 - 707 of 1117

I agree there are some chunky buys going through but no sp movement. news soon do you think? online gaming is the buzz of the moment after all.

mickeyskint - 03 Jun 2005 16:21 - 708 of 1117

EK thinks the principle of lowering averages is daft.

this sector is getting waaaay to much competition.....

have seen a few other gambling floats recently; is there room for all of them ???

mickeyskint - 07 Jun 2005 10:09 - 710 of 1117

From the other place. Thought I would post as it has all gone a bit quiet here.

Be very wary of making false predictions. I worked for Vodafone when a hand prtable phone with car kit was selling for 3000 and when told by the then chairman, Gerry Went, that there would be 10mill users by the turn of the century thought he was mad....just look at it now. 19mill users in the UK alone. The consensus in 2000 was that there would be annual revenues of $10bn for on-line gaming by the end of 2005. That figure has already been surpassed by some 25%.

The mobile gaming side is NOT aimed at the PC user it is aimed at a totally seperate and currently, under utilised sector of casual gambler. Europe has some 150 million mobile users (including Eastern Europe) but the server is available world wide. If only 1% of the available European base uses WAP server mobile gambling then we will see 1.5mill users in this region alone. Again offering a basic gaming revenue loss by each player of 5 a month this equates to 7.5mill a month is win alone. The figures are huge and this is precisely why a figure of 59BILLION has been put on the eventual amount wagered.

If we look at that 59billion and(using the figures on the Orange site) with a 95.5% payout the take by the operators will be somewhere around 265.5mill profits a year.

I am sure I would be happy sitting where GMC are now with regards to this sector.

Hi MS, glad to know theres still somebody with a bit of faith in this one. There is major tree shaking going on with this one but im gonna stay put until the profits start to roll in. So anytime you want to reassure the board with some posts its always greatly received.

cheers

mickeyskint - 07 Jun 2005 13:31 - 712 of 1117

Been in these now on and off for a while. Back in now. Change in sentiment? News coming? Any one any thoughts?

moneyplus - 08 Jun 2005 13:51 - 716 of 1117

picked up a few while the price stays down--it'll fly again soon IMO. if Evil paid 12.5 and he's close to the company I'm confident.

doughboy66 - 08 Jun 2005 14:38 - 717 of 1117

I`m back in this again for the fourth time !! made profit first 2 trades then lost it all on the 3rd, bought at the peak the 3rd time and jumped ship when they placed a new share issue,it was so volitile back then i didn`t know where the SP would end up.

Nice to see that others are sharing your sentiment. It was all about the MMs playing down this one, ive been shock out of good companies in the past but i held on to this one. onwards and upwards

moneyplus - 09 Jun 2005 15:49 - 719 of 1117
