Could someone bring the sp down on this one so I can get in at 2p or lower please...I've worked out the the market cap is around 250 million pounds with loads of debt, 4000 bopd and even when they use up the capital to pay off some debt : they still will be owing quite a lot...nothing yet drilled in Kurdistan....to my thinking this is just rising on the back of Gulf Keystone's rise and first discovery.....how on earth do they value this at 250 million ?.

There was a bullish article in " oilbarrel.com " on 18 August -
Oilbarrel are now very enthusiastic about SEY's potential for Kurdistan, Cameroun, and Madagascar. In Madagascar ExxonMobil should drill the large Ampasindava block towards the end of 2010 ( 30% SEY ). SEY are now looking for a partner for the Madagascar Ambilobe block ( 100% SEY ).
Article also says there will be a rights issue to raise 20 million in November at two for nine shares, and then a share consolidation.
Also says the new director Alastair Beardsall is well respected in the oil industry, having turned round Emerald. This is why the share price is moving forward. Having got the bank off its back, SEY should now be the next success story after Heritage, and Gulf Keystone.

i gave up looking at oilbarrel, as it seemed to me it was little better than a site for company placements rather than objective reporting ...... that said, you may be right, though i really cannot get excited about this company

The sp should now be going down, but it still relentlessly ticks up!! Heavy volume & very tradeable, but am not yet part of the action. :o(

What's the value now ?...300 million pounds......it's nonsense...just going up because of possible potential, share placing etc...and What's hot tipping it as a recovery play plus people buying it because of the latter....I would take a punt but not at this price !.

If GKP can doble in a morning why not SEY.. anything could happen at the moment.

big dif is that GKP has actually found fairly significant quantities of oil while SEY is still scarcely on the postive side of financial survival

GKP ???? Is a good Company, but I think now perhaps fully valued. I could be wrong. I bought it at 11p and sold too soon at 28p.
One I am looking at is Western Zargos - quoted on the Canadian market, but is 100% a Kurdistan gamble, and I already have several million SEY.

Not every company is going to be successful out there : the oil is here and there in massive pools trapped in rocks....
