I am presently reading his book which is certainly enjoyable. He is running a live seminar on Fri 25 Feb.
Thanks for the info about the sites.

goldfinger - 28 Jan 2011 00:41 - 726 of 3532

SC ive said that for years in fact said he is a tipster and should as such be regulated. He obviously has disagreed with me but theres no getting away from the fact that the MMs move the SP just like a tipsters tip on the news hitting the market.

Chris Carson - 28 Jan 2011 00:59 - 727 of 3532

SC - Re Robbie Burns, that may have been partly true 3 years ago when he posted his trades 3 times a week Mon,Wed and Friday. Approximately 2 years ago reduced to Wednesdays and Fridays, over the last 12 months on numerous occassions only once a week. Think you will find (And this was the case when he posted 3 times per week) that if you check out his recent trades on his blog tomorrow night they will be already up 15-20 pips from when he bought. If as you say all his disciples or newbies follow him in, if they are lucky they may get 10 pips more to the upside, but then of course Day Traders/Short term traders will step in if they haven't already done so and take profits wiping out there 10 or so pips gain. To be fair to the guy he does point this out in his disclaimer. When I first started trading I'm not ashamed to admit I made this mistake a few times. With experience and a little knowledge (still learning technical analysis) I wait for the dips then follow him in :O)

Joking apart NT has had a big influence on some of my trading over the last five years, attended his seminar 4 years ago think the cost was certainly no more than 300 worth every penny. Sorry, guess I'm biased.

Chris C, I suppose Im warming to Robbie iI didnt get on with him in the earlier days Seems to me hes taken a bit out of his tipping service and substituted it for the Training/ seminars.

Ill give him this, hes very efficient. You buy a book from him and its there next day.

goldfinger - 28 Jan 2011 08:58 - 737 of 3532

A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde female neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then closed and went back into the house.

A little later she came out of her house again and went to the mail box. She opened and shut it again. Angrily, she went back to the house.

As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn she came out again, marched to the mail box, opened it and then slammed it harder than ever.

Puzzled by her actions the man asked her: "Is something wrong?"

To which she replied: "There certainly is! My stupid computer keeps saying: 'You've got mail!'"

Working nights last night watching Asian markets, expecting a bigger fall at the open, all doom and gloom. The old fear factor lurking.

The gap higher today suggests that while there is no end of day close back below it at 480p the upside for TCY should be the December highs through 510p as a mininum.

good call gf, Zakkypoos read your tip :-)

goldfinger - 28 Jan 2011 11:57 - 741 of 3532

Cheers splat......

Merrill have this - Source FT re TCY

To be clear, the release today focuses more on Terremarks managed hosting
and infrastructure-as-a services businesses as the rationale for the acquisition, as
opposed to the co-location offering. Put simply we dont see this as a direct read
for Telecity as the acquirer seems more interested in the parts of the business
which Telecity does not offer. While Telecity just rents the customers space and
access to power and cooling, managed hosting takes things to a much more
complex level, with the data-centre company also owning and managing the
servers which the clients are using. Nonetheless, Telecity has been talked about
before as an M&A target (notably last July). Therefore we think further sector
consolidation will be a positive for sentiment.
For reference Equinix acquisition of Switch and Data last year valued the target
(a business more comparable to Telecity) at 11.7x forward EV/EBTIDA. The bid
for Terremark (a business less comparable to Telecity) values the target on 15x
forward EV/EBITDA. Applying these multiples to Telecity would imply a valuation
of 606 787p /share versus Telecitys closing price yesterday of 475p (9.3x
2011E EV/EBITDA).
