Extremely disappointed that Shares Magazine didn't pick up on the JLP find in this week's mag. We need more exposure to show the world the potential here.

chad - 09 Sep 2005 13:03 - 75 of 798

Yes I was surprised not to find any mention of JLP in this weeks issue. Maybe they didn't want to look silly after telling readers to sell after they were stopped out on their initial tip?

queen1 - 09 Sep 2005 23:16 - 76 of 798

Possibly Chad. I know there are quite a few knockers of Shares Mag populating the threads on this site but I'm pretty happy with it. Having said that, they are usually pretty slow at holding their hands up and admitting to getting something wrong but very quick to point out when they tipped shares if they've actually risen.

robstuff - 12 Sep 2005 15:35 - 77 of 798

Been keeping an eye on these since the Madagascar find, but Paul- some very large sells today, any idea why?

paulmasterson1 - 12 Sep 2005 16:57 - 78 of 798

Rob Hi,

The only reason I can think of for the sells, is that some may think the price is close to EVO's target of 51p, but they obviously cannot see the potential.

The Investors Chronicle
Jubilee Platinum: still good value with Numis setting a 51p target.

Bought in here and there since you first highlighted this one Paul, and hold at the mo.

Have you seen what is happening this am?

Any reason?

Apart from the last press release can't find anything.

paulmasterson1 - 23 Sep 2005 08:16 - 81 of 798

SWW Hi,

Yeah, going up at last :)

The only thing I can see at the meoment is JLP is on a breakout :)

Maybe there was a press tip ?

Cheers,

Jubilee Platinum attracts bid speculation.

" 0618 GMT [Dow Jones] Traders note speculation that a bid for Jubilee Platinum (JLP.LN) is on the way. They point to "massive" traded volumes of the stock Thursday, and expect similar interest Friday. Jubilee Platinum not immediately available to comment. Shares closed at 46.25p. (DWE)"

Not widelty reported, and could be a good time to buy at these levels.

All imo and you take your own risks.

Oakapples142 - 23 Sep 2005 08:49 - 83 of 798

Great post seawallwalker - Volume has indeed steadily increased over past 7 days but I would not say "massive" yesterday. It would appear that we should see a statement from JLP to-day "now that they are immediately available to comment" Looking good

seawallwalker - 23 Sep 2005 21:37 - 84 of 798

From UK-Analyst.com: September 23rd 2005

"Shares in Jubilee Platinum* motored ahead by 2.75p to 49p. UK-Analyst has heard rumours from well-informed sources that the company has been approached by at least 2 majors to farm-out some of its non-core acreage in Madagascar. Jubilee recently announced stunning drilling grades from its lead prospect at Londokomanana. Top tipster Tom Winnifrith, who recommended this stock at 17.75p, recently put a valuation of more than 100p per share on the stock."

All the best people seem to be coming here for a look, a word and a drink.

Help yourselves.

andysmith - 24 Sep 2005 22:21 - 88 of 798

Glad I stayed in this when it dropped a few months ago to 32p, even better I topped up!! But if there was a bid what price would we expect? The NAV is above the Numis target price, and that was before the recent find in Madagascar.

ptholden - 24 Sep 2005 22:32 - 89 of 798

Hi Andy

Took yr advice, but probably at a higher level than I should have done. Hope the trip was successful

andysmith - 24 Sep 2005 22:59 - 90 of 798

My business trip was successful thanks Pete.
Tempted to top-up again with JLP, two sites could have further confirmation of being world class mines and that could propel this higher, probably why there is interest whilst the market cap is still low?

ptholden - 25 Sep 2005 00:28 - 91 of 798

plus the interest shown by a major in one of their sites

Jubilee announces the full results for its step-out borehole DT3 on the Dsjate
farm ('Tjate Project') in the Bushveld Complex of South Africa. The borehole was
stepped out some 200 metres along strike and 800 metres along the downdip of
DT2, the second hole.

Set Point Laboratories in Johannesburg carried out the analyses of the borehole
core samples. This laboratory is SNAS TO223 and ISO 17025 accredited.

Highlights

Borehole DT3 intersected the Merensky reef ('MR') and UG2 Chromitite
reef ('UG2') at projected depths

Grade and thickness of reefs are consistent with expectations

MR showed 6.92 g/t 4E (platinum, palladium rhodium and gold) and UG2
showed 7.49/gt

The MR showed good nickel and copper contributions: 0.35% nickel and
0.29% copper

Results are confirming the presence of a mineable resource downdip of
existing and developing operations

Drilling of fourth step-out borehole has commenced

Colin Bird, CEO of Jubilee and Tjate and Tjate Project Manager, said 'Jubilee
has completed its third borehole at a significant step-out from its previous
boreholes. The results are consistent with our expectations, confirm our
prognosis for reef grade, dip and thickness and provide us with the confidence
to commence now with pre-feasibility studies'.

3rd borehole results cocsistant with expectations.
