Balerboy - 24 Nov 2010 20:59 - 732 of 3002

I liked my buy at 2.42......that'll do me for now.,.

TheFrenchConnection - 24 Nov 2010 22:54 - 733 of 3002

would, of course have preffered yesterdays 233p offer :-) ....242p seems value for money considering G/S note . Pros. l bow to your far superior research and knowledge of this individual stock which you have tracked for over a year ;and in total antiphisis when compared to mine own, which at best, was cursory, and at worst , derisory, and furthermore, only really began when the truly xciting action had already occured. This is not the sort of stock that usually appeals to me. heavy oils ect ect ; and at 200p the bus was missed as such....{ lncidentally - l would like to know when s/p was approx 296/300 did you crystalize any of the paper profit you would have made at that level or let them fizzle away in much the same way you suggested Cynners did but in his case namely selling too early ? ....OR ,,,if we are to take your argument to its logical conclusion ,,,and this is the real meat of my posting ,,,Do you expect 300p to be surpassed with consummate ease if all criteria on this project are met ?. l suppose you must do if or ,as i have already intimated, the rationale' of your argument is flawed in that you would not have let 300p come and go .But l am not blind to the fact that on many occassions one aquires " a feel " for a stock after scrutizing it over a period of time ;and based on this variable l would be most happy to know at what price would you think you could you be persuaded to part with your own?

The tanker Betty Knutsen is now moving east towards the Ocean Nomad rig, so flow test should be starting this weekend.

Proselenes.....are you in Aberdeen at the port with a pair of binoculars...?.....any good lasses in sight ?....

cynic - 25 Nov 2010 08:14 - 736 of 3002

and of course, using Mr P's illogicality, i didn't sell too early as sp has been 253 or lower for several days now! ..... TFC - Mr P never sells; he knows it's bad form to pull out of this "lady" before she is fully satisfied, let alone prematurely!

Balerboy - 25 Nov 2010 08:23 - 737 of 3002

I would immagine that at pro's age, satisfying himself as well as the lady could take a great deal longer..........might be an explanation.,.

cynic - 25 Nov 2010 08:43 - 738 of 3002

poor bugger gets exhausted and very sore but can't get rid of the effect of the 2 x viagra that he has to take

required field - 25 Nov 2010 09:12 - 739 of 3002

Well....I've finished taking profits ahead of the flow test......no more sells from me (been buying and selling over the few weeks).....just have to hope that we have a great result, and there should be because all the indications of a well managed drilling campaign are here !....

Proselenes - 25 Nov 2010 09:38 - 740 of 3002

Think its going to be a very flaccid and placid end to the week, as its Thanksgiving in the US as well.

However, Monday should see increased buying as should the rest of next week and its from there we should move back to nearer 300p levels waiting for the news.

required field - 25 Nov 2010 09:47 - 741 of 3002

I'm no expert but doesn't that pay zone sound promising......you must never count your chckens before they're hatched but surely a commercial discovery is here....

cynic - 25 Nov 2010 10:11 - 742 of 3002

it's not the commerciality that is being questioned so much as the flow rate achievable - + i guess the amount deemed to be recoverable

required field - 25 Nov 2010 10:34 - 743 of 3002

Do you think this is going to be a total success ?...with the sp rising by 50p or more..?....I think it will but nothing is certain.....I just cannot see this slumping with a bad flow coming.....fingers crossed...

cynic - 25 Nov 2010 10:36 - 744 of 3002

dope! how HTFWIK!!!

required field - 25 Nov 2010 11:12 - 745 of 3002

Can you translate that ?......at times I have trouble understanding the common stuff....

Proselenes - 25 Nov 2010 11:40 - 746 of 3002

How the something would I know.

cynic - 25 Nov 2010 11:43 - 747 of 3002

FT Alphaville oil 'sector watcher' says:

.......XEL has drawn down a further 6m of its SEDA facility, leaving it with 24m still available. It means the group has now raised 47m in share issues this year as it continues to progress its Bentley heavy oilfield development in the North Sea. The well currently drilling ahead for the group is certainly a crucial one as it will determine whether or not the viscous crude is able to flow to surface, with the results of a test due by the end of this month. With P50 and P10 estimated reserves of 160m and 235m barrels respectively, and a much larger oil column than prognosed, a successful well-test suggests there is still material upside for the group. At an NPV of $5-6/barrel and assuming the P10 reserves case, the company could be worth over 600p/share. However given recent share price strength, I'd retain some amount of caution ahead of the well result. ........

Finished up in Canada last night, hence the spike this morning. Hopefully Canada will pull this up again today as the "buy in" starts for those wanting to be long when results come out.
