THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Rawdm,

I agree, but the more that join the TPA the more voice the will have.

How about this for hypocrisy.

The FSA (presumably because of government pressure) are to get tough on banking regulations.
Part of this toughness is that Special investment vehicles and other tools to move assets off the balance sheet and free up capital would no longer escape regulatory scrutiny.

As this government has moved several items off the balance sheet, including the PFI system, which the Government uses to deliver hospitals, schools and roads, are 25 billion, while Network Rail's debts are 18 billion this is a glaring piece of hypocrisy.
I would like to know just how much this off sheet amount (a bit like hidden debt really, but not the toxic kind) totals to. I bet it is far more than those figure previously mentioned.
One law/rule for some, but not all springs to mind.
Is there no end to this corrupt government.

Skinny,

Very funny, a great sketch from these 2 clever performers.
For their best sketch and what I think is one of the funniest and cleverest ever seen, try http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mzJmTCYmo9g
It is their sub prime sketch.
Been posted on here before but well worth a reminder.

Yes I've watched several times - I just hope Brown and co tune in :-).

greekman - 22 Jan 2009 13:48 - 7410 of 81564

Problem is if GB watched it he would probably believe it was a serious programme like Panorama. When he gave his slip of the tongue, 'when we have saved the world' speech, it became obvious he has no sense of humour, or the communicating skills to make light of it.

skinny - 22 Jan 2009 13:53 - 7411 of 81564

You mean it wasn't a serious programme!

greekman - 22 Jan 2009 14:33 - 7412 of 81564

Retrievers, really that is a bit far fetched. Get it far fetched, retrieve. OK never mind, keep taking the tablets (Bob Martins probably).

greekman - 23 Jan 2009 09:31 - 7425 of 81564

Alan,

Unfortunately I had medical treatment that didn't work and only proved the diagnosis. Every session with the psychiatrist treating me for what he said was a persecution complex, proved worthless. All he did was continually stare at me and try to trap me with his questions, and I could tell by his eyes that he did not like me and wanted to kill me. Even his receptionist took a dislike to me, because as soon as I took my place in the waiting room, she was on the phone. Could not hear what she was talking about but it was obvious she was slagging me off.
Anyway after talking to the psychiatrist , it left me feeling a little Husky. When I was Shepperd outside I felt Hounded. These people always have a Cavalier attitude.
Not like the doctor I went to a couple of days ago with cartilage trouble. All he did was Pekingese (peek at my knees) and treat me like a piece of Shih Tzu, still what a Tosa . Still can't say I'm a Saint (bernard).

Dog tiered now so logging out.
