Smear campaign not even thought of, by the way he has been in post since January 2007 so has seen and voted on the buying and selling of Whittier the finance model that nearly broke the company and the debacle of Mauritania amongst many other things.
So while I had not intended, he has done it all by himself.
All that is available on the company web site by the way.
Personally I expect things to go right here now, once the Kurds have clarified the position of their alleged illegal PSCs and PSA's with the Iraq Government.
It seems from recent news outlined that there may be an agreement soon.
Be nice if it happened before they drop the drill bit at Sangaw the success of which should double the sp if expectations are met.
I wont hold here however has I have been in and out over the years and really not made too much on this, however I have a morbid curiosity now that just won't leave me.

Business Financial Newswire
"Oil and gas company Sterling Energy has spudded the Sangaw North-1 exploration well, its first exploration well on the Sangaw North Block in Kurdistan.
Drilling and preliminary evaluation is expected to take 180 days.
Sterling is the operator of the block with a 53.33% working interest.
The well will target several prospective Cretaceous and Jurassic-aged reservoirs and has a planned depth of 3,660m.
An independent review gives an estimate of gross prospective oil resources for the Cretaceous interval of 804m barrels.
The well has been designed with the option to drill deeper to 4,160m to test additional Jurassic-aged reservoirs, based on drilling results. "

Thanks Poo....he's got the oil price wrong : average of $60 for the whole of 2010, rubbish ! it will be much higher....but the risk is here...I've been saying that if they come up dry, the sp will drop like a stone.....I'm a bit wary and would not dream of buying as many shares as I had with Gulfkeystone where the risk was a lot less.....anyway I'm in and will take a knock if the well is not successful, and in most of these prospective ones...DES,RKH,TRP,MXP. AEX is another and that one I'm in up to my neck....I get the feeling that I'm taking too many big risks and will get my fingers burnt one of these days with minnow oilies.

It looks to me like some institution is manipulating the market - maybe the Market Makers ? The London Stock Exchange should check these dealings -
why should we private investors get ripped off, it looks very suspicious ??
I wonder if I can ask LSE to check these dealings at between 12.30 - 12.50 am ??
