Spaceman - 06 Oct 2005 19:23 - 7427 of 24230

evening all, just back from Manchester, didn't get much time to look round Wythenshawe but it certainly looks a lovely place, does anyone who knows the area know what those burnt out cars on the side of the road are for? are they placed there by the local autorities as modern art?

Socrates - 06 Oct 2005 20:02 - 7428 of 24230

Not an art form that I have heard of Spacie, perhaps they are some form of entertainment like the old soap box carts I used to make.

Big Al - 06 Oct 2005 20:48 - 7429 of 24230

Anyone got a hot hammock? ;-)))

stockbunny - 07 Oct 2005 10:54 - 7430 of 24230

Morning troops!
What's Big Al doing hanging like a bat upsides down over the radiator?
;>)

hilary - 07 Oct 2005 10:58 - 7431 of 24230

You'll need a hot body for a hot hammock, Big Al.

Bugz - 07 Oct 2005 13:33 - 7432 of 24230

Cheers for the Guinness. I love a pint after its been sitting there a while.

Afternoon all, any chance of getting some kettle chips?

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 13:41 - 7433 of 24230

Afternoon Bugz, Bunny's gon missin. Looks like you'll have to make your own :-)
btw what are kettle chips?

Spaceman - 07 Oct 2005 13:56 - 7434 of 24230

Bugz, I would rather you didnt put chips in the kettle, or have I missunderstood?

Bullshare - 07 Oct 2005 14:08 - 7435 of 24230

Spaceman; Had a very strange phone call from someone saying they are trying to deliver some Hydroponics stuff to the cafe. Are you growing something we should know about?:-)

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 14:10 - 7436 of 24230

Space, various parts of the country have different customs. Chips in kettles is not from Yorkshire. Perhaps it's from Lancashire, some quaint ideas over the hill.......now I'm moving fast :-)

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 14:13 - 7437 of 24230

Bullshare, perhaps that's why it's been a bit quiet in here recently, pot plant growing has become very popular, they say it is very relaxing watching them grow.

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 14:13 - 7438 of 24230

Why they should keep removing a leaf I don't know!

stockbunny - 07 Oct 2005 14:52 - 7439 of 24230

AHHHH.... That expains the loin cloths and strange calls and the fact
the humidity in this place is going up no end AND the fact there's creepers
and vines everywhere now AND why the ceiling is a huge canopy.........
you know I knew something had changed in here and I thought Spacie
had redecorated..............

Mind you the film playing on the giant screen continuously is odd,
think I know it...it's an old one........

makes a change from football anyway....................

Sure I've seen that film.........................

More then once............................

ITS' THE DAY OF A TRIFFIDS!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
(runs for the door.....)

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 14:55 - 7440 of 24230

Gottcha!!! now get back in here and make some tea, and don't forget to take the chips out first :-)

optomistic - 07 Oct 2005 15:18 - 7441 of 24230

Oh heck that rabbits gone again.

stockbunny - 07 Oct 2005 15:38 - 7442 of 24230

Industrial strength weed killer definitely on order!
EEE-yuck! What's chips doing in the kettle?
Stupid place to play poker!
;>)

Big Al - 07 Oct 2005 15:40 - 7443 of 24230

Afternoon

bunny - bat-like coz all hammocks chilly.

Hil - indeed. Just need to find one, especially with winter approaching. ;-))

stockbunny - 07 Oct 2005 16:16 - 7444 of 24230

Al - buy a big teddy bear, they are less high maintenance then other forms of 'warm bodies'
;>)
