Perhaps I'm missing something but what is the issue with the trades today?

rekirkham - 09 Feb 2010 14:32 - 7438 of 7811

I do't think so - this transaction happened a few days ago and is being reported only now - I any case Artemis bought about 200,000 shares. Some market makers are playing around LI think ?? I see the price has recovered slightly - I wonder why it went so low ??? This is not regular dealing, but perhaps traders trying to move the market, as they do when they pile in with contracts for difference.
That is why the banks make billions with share trading, in an unethical manner, although not illegal.

ptholden - 09 Feb 2010 14:35 - 7439 of 7811

MM's are entirely within the rules to delay the reporting of large transactions, I think you need to do a little research before firing off emails. IMHO

The Other Kevin - 09 Feb 2010 14:42 - 7440 of 7811

Can't see anything suspicious about today's trades during the fall (or modest bounce). The MMs were never on the bid or offer and just moved their prices as other bids and offers were posted. Nothing abnormal in that.

rekirkham - 09 Feb 2010 14:47 - 7441 of 7811

ptholden - I am aware there is a delay in reporting transactions - that is what I said above, and why Artemis should not affect price changes now.
I guess we should expect to see a major sell reported in the next few days, if every thing is working properly. Also we should keep LSE and co on their toes. no ?

In this instance, there is nothing to keep the 'LSE on their toes'. WHy wouldn't the Artemis transaction affect the SP now, it's only just been declared??

rekirkham - 09 Feb 2010 14:55 - 7444 of 7811

The transaction was dealt with several days ago, which although reported today, would have effected the SEY price several days ago. There must have been another transaction today - which may even be reported later today.
That is my thinking ?

I'm not quite following this, Artemis have increased their holding by approx 220,000 shares and you exepct an announcement that the same amount have shares have been disposed of eleswhere? Why?

rekirkham - 11 Feb 2010 08:56 - 7447 of 7811

re above threads ...e-mail received from LSE
Dear Mr Kirkham

Thank you for your email

The price movement in SEY today has already been looked into by the appropriate team here at the Exchange. Although I am not able to share with you the outcome of that investigation, please be assured that the Exchange does look into all unusual price movements as part of our work of ensuring that AIM issuers keep the market fully apprised of any material developments

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention

Kind regards
