Media Corp (Gaming Corpoartion GMC)Attracting Some Big Names. (MDC)

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2003 00:33

Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

Gaming Corporation PLC

Gaming Corporation PLC Monday 27th June 2005

Trading Statement

Gaming Corporation plc ('Gaming Corp' or 'the Company'), the number 1 gaming
portal operator and owner of both
www.gambling.com
and
www.casino.co.uk,
today
provides an update on recent trading.

Gambling.com

Recently acquired Gambling.com has already made a strong contribution to Group
profitability in its first full month as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group,
generating net income of 105,000 in May, ahead of management's budgets.
Integration of the Gambling.com business is progressing very well and we expect
continued growth, synergies and the benefits of cost savings to make significant
improvements in the profitability of this business going forward.

Orange mobile gaming business

The recently launched mobile gaming business is already starting to show very
encouraging results with over a thousand registered players in the first few
weeks of operation. New player registrations, deposits and revenues have
increased substantially over the past week as Orange has increased the marketing
coverage and moved out of the 'soft launch' phase. Gaming Corp has first mover
advantage in this exciting sector and is in ongoing negotiations with other
major mobile network operators with a view to launching additional mobile gaming
services. The games can now be accessed from the Orange World home page by
clicking the 'Fun' channel and then clicking the recently launched 'Gambling'
channel.

Casino.co.uk and Gaming Operations

Casino.co.uk has grown considerably during the year recording over 4 million
unique visitors in May 2005 an increase from 3 Million in March. This growth in
traffic has contributed to both higher cost per click advertising revenue and
increased business in our proprietary Casino, instant win and skill gaming
businesses. We are in ongoing negotiations with software suppliers with a view
to increasing margins and the range of Gaming products that we offer.

Justin Drummond, Chief Executive, commenting on recent trading,

'Gaming Corp has made significant progress since the start of 2005 and now has a
very cash generative business. The Company has reached critical mass and is in a
leading position in the Gaming portal market'.

This should put a bit more wind in its sails.......fidelity upping its stake, another acquisition with european expansion in its sights & confirmation that the business is storming ahead!

This company is getting stronger by the day

moneyplus - 27 Jun 2005 18:51 - 750 of 1117

Excellent news--looking good for a substantial rerating by end of the year. IMO

andyeds - 22 Jul 2005 19:56 - 751 of 1117

stock overhang cleared today according to Evil Knievil, should see a move back to 16p+ very quickly...

business storming ahead....

moneyplus - 22 Jul 2005 21:33 - 752 of 1117

about time this one started moving-lets hope for a trading update as well if Evil has started the news flow. wonder what evil thinks is a fair price to look forward to- anyone in the know???

blackbelt - 22 Jul 2005 23:59 - 753 of 1117

The broker recomendation is low 20s but it hasnt taken into consideration the earnings enhancing acquisitions its been making. In conjunction they seem to be storming ahead on all divisions. If more mobile deals are signed I would expect a fair value price in the mid to late 20s by the end of the year. Its not often that evil actually goes long on stock especially not with such vengence over a long period of time........glad to hear the overhang has cleared might be tempted to top up a little on mon!

blackbelt - 29 Jul 2005 09:10 - 754 of 1117

All buys this morning and no movement yet! The overhang is bound to be cleared by now.....patience is a virtue but its also an annoyance

mickeyskint - 29 Jul 2005 09:29 - 755 of 1117

Too true especially as others in the sector are moving ahead. Even with good news nothing seems to happen. Patience is a virtue I suppose. I just get pissed off having my money in a share thats doing nothing. I should sell and reinvest in something thats moving but.... I live in hope.

moneyplus - 29 Jul 2005 11:28 - 756 of 1117

Evil's comment that the large seller-the Thenguiz brothers who were original investors are fools to cash in their profits gives me the patience to hold on. I would guess November before we get the results and I think they will be good.

blackbelt - 29 Jul 2005 12:25 - 757 of 1117

The whole market is motoring on its extremely irritating to feel your missing out on a blue day like this. It has to be due a tick up soon

blackbelt - 30 Jul 2005 11:59 - 758 of 1117

Found this piece of news on the web from the other day........the company is doing so much behind the scenes I think we are just gonna have to wait until they burst into the black for them to be fully appreciated, which should happen very soon.

Ongame Group signs licensing agreement with Gaming Corporation plc
The Sweden-based online poker network Ongame Group said on Tuesday (26 July) that its subsidiary PokerNetwork had signed a licensing agreement with the United Kingdom gaming portal operator Gaming Corporation plc.

Under the agreement PokerNetwork would provide one software program to Gaming Corporation.

Another update for the BB,

Gaming Corp launches new casino available both online and on mobile phones

21 July 2005

LONDON (AFX) - Gaming Corporation PLC, the owner of www.gambling.com and www.casino.co.uk , said it signed a deal with Virtue Fusion to develop a multiplatform casino that will be available both online and on mobile phones.

The company said that with such a high percentage of the population owning mobile phones, the deal not only enhances its product portfolio but also expands its market penetration.

The new casino, which will be located at www.games.casino.co.uk , includes fifteen online casino games and nine mobile java games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Stud Poker, slots and scratch cards.

'The online games are flash based, meaning that there is no requirement for a lengthy download each time a player logs in to the casino and it is unaffected by firewalls,' said the company.

The casino games will be available for both practice and real cash play.

I feel a bit more content with the tick up at least it hit a higher low and seems to be heading up north slowly again.

moneyplus - 30 Jul 2005 14:39 - 760 of 1117

cheers bb-looking very positive for results in November and we may get a trading update before then. I hope to keep adding while things are quiet.

moneyplus - 31 Jul 2005 13:59 - 761 of 1117

good articles on the success of online gambling in the Times today--there's a line of companies looking to float. I'm happy to sit in this one.

belisce6 - 23 Aug 2005 10:32 - 762 of 1117

anyone have any idea what is going on with this one ???

blackbelt - 23 Aug 2005 13:14 - 763 of 1117

Lack of news driving the price down to bring the buyers back! Im quite annoyed with this one but gonna sit tight for the results in November! its a good buying opportunity as im sure it will bounce back soon! The institutions all got in about these levels a while back so im sure they will think about topping up their holdings

belisce6 - 24 Aug 2005 14:50 - 764 of 1117

just read that Evil Kneivel has lightened his long on GMC (on Monday).....
-although he still has a substantial amount on them
-says that he has lightened it cos although it is a quality stock, it is in a bear sector (as far as he is concerned).

so perhaps a bit of a false alarm.....

ptholden - 25 Aug 2005 10:12 - 765 of 1117

Something going on here this morning perhaps? Good buying volume including a MM deal for 400,000. Stock up 4% at the time of post.
