Got it.

Never mind.

namreh3 - 12 Oct 2004 12:12 - 748 of 7811

Morning all. Belated commiserations on another year gone by, gavdfc. Not being a petrologist/geologist, the aforementioned technical stuff although impressive sounding, gives me very little to which I can compare. Did Cairn find 134m of gross oil column in Rajasthan? If so 'YES!', if not could someone enlighten this ignoramus as to the relative significance of this find. Cheers.

proptrade - 12 Oct 2004 12:14 - 749 of 7811

well all looks goos to me....onwards and upwards

namreh3 - 12 Oct 2004 12:20 - 750 of 7811

Goos? as in foie gras?

proptrade - 12 Oct 2004 12:42 - 751 of 7811

with caviar!

namreh3 - 12 Oct 2004 12:53 - 752 of 7811

The countries bordering the Caspian have just reduced the amount of beluga to be exported due to poaching etc to only a few thousand kg annually. Get it while you can (that's enough food - AGAIN!)

mickeyskint - 12 Oct 2004 14:53 - 753 of 7811

Can't stand the stuff myself much prefer a jam sandwich.

Namreh3, many thanks on your belated commiserations on the passing of my last year! Thought it best to celebrate it's passing and usher in the next 12 months with a wee tipple. Needles to say I ended up a tad goosed myself (since we've got round to talking food again!)

Mickeyskint, now you're talking! A jam sandwich, but if you want real class then add slice or 2 of finest cheddar, makes an excellent sandwich!

Not looking forward to tomorrow. Water in the street is being turned off for maintenance all day, major pain.

Back to the important stuff, tomorrow nights tea...

Morning all.

proptrade - 13 Oct 2004 09:32 - 756 of 7811

morning sir, good breakfast?

personally, i am a huge fan of a cheese and vegimite sandwich. don't knock it iuntil u have tried it!

any news knocking about today?

gavdfc - 13 Oct 2004 09:49 - 757 of 7811

Morning Prop,

Breakfast was simple today, a bowl of cornflakes, nothing exciting there. Have taken on board your tip of the cheese and vegimite sandwich, will be tried soon! Like with most things, I have an open mind.

Quiet day here, couldn't find any news and not much happening really with SEY. Some consolidation maybe at this level then start to rise again in anticpation of next Tuesday's RNS? Of course a nice surprise drilling update like last week would get things moving again very quickly. Happy as ever here!

proptrade - 13 Oct 2004 09:56 - 758 of 7811

you certainly sound it...

it is a bit of a funny day today, ftse up but it doesn't feel like this move has any legs at all, more like everything up a few spreads. personally i think we have seen the high of the day already.

in our stuff i agree with your thoughts on consolidation at this level. never a bad thing because similar to what i said a couple of days ago, you need a stock to take a breather to be able to bust through a resistance level in style (ie a couple of attempts to break through 20 before making it). the proof will be in the RNS over the next few weeks.

gavdfc - 13 Oct 2004 10:30 - 759 of 7811

Seems like a quiet day all round with a lot of my stocks. You could be right about the high of the day being hit. Plenty of drilling going on here though, in the street outside my house that is!

Nothing wrong with a bit of consolidation. Agree with you that all stocks need a breather after a good rise. After breaking through from one level to the next, doesn't the previous level act as the next level of support? Don't know much about charting, but that's my understanding of it. Could be wrong though!

seawallwalker - 13 Oct 2004 10:40 - 760 of 7811

Hi everyone.

Nothing like a nice full English!

Well, once in a while any how.

Bit of drift going on by the looks of things.

Nice RNS would not go amiss.

Still waiting for PRE to say what else they found in Bolivia. Must be soemthing though, or they would have said by now. Probably making sure of the find first before they say, 'significant......' again.

sandrew64 - 13 Oct 2004 10:47 - 761 of 7811

Love your optimism SWW. Certainly need it today as last two days have been dreadful. Can feel an upswing around the corner (or is that just a draft).Back to my cooking and baking, new fridge freezer has arrived ordered it online and didn't think to check the size. Rather a lot of space to fill...apple pies next!

seawallwalker - 13 Oct 2004 10:52 - 762 of 7811

Just come in from dog walking, dropped into SOF and got half price fillet steak, so it will be a flash fry served with mushrooms and onions, oh and the buttered mash with 2 veg.

Got to be optomistic with this, but I am convinced that SEY and PRE still have tons of upside.

PRE will come in sooner than SEY imho, any day, in fact why not today?

Hello Mr Teeling, get your biro out....................

gavdfc - 13 Oct 2004 10:57 - 763 of 7811

I thought I was doing nice and healthy with my cornflakes, then SWW comes out with a full english and now talk of apple pies! Both sound exceeding good.

Seems lots of oil stocks hit the last few days so we're no exception it seems. SIA, HNR, DNX, MRS, OIL etc all seem to have taken a bit of small hit. Not concerned though, temporary blip IMO.

Good luck with your baking sandrew64, sounds tasty.

seawallwalker - 13 Oct 2004 10:58 - 764 of 7811

I just love this thread.

Full of good food ideas every day

:-))

proptrade - 13 Oct 2004 11:01 - 765 of 7811

oh to live in the oil bubble...still love the sector but we all know that quality names still count and that in this kind of environment don't forget that s**t still floats.

so are we serving the apple pie with Haagen Daz vanilla?

mickeyskint - 13 Oct 2004 11:25 - 766 of 7811

I know what your going to say 'don't panic' but 0.1675.
