THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

LOL, what for free advertising.

Building my own website for charts so wanted to look at how they line up when transfered.

All above my head this sort of technical stuff, and this dummys book just confirms....... yep Im a dummy.

Councils are forever telling us they DON'T waste money.

Leicestershire County Council have just spent 6,000 on Sat Navs fitted to their fleet of ride on lawn mowers.
The reason is to help the operators find the next patch of long grass (I kid you not).
Before Sat Nav I'm sure these operators and the councils knew where the grass was that needed cutting on a regular basis. (It's the green stuff you wallies).

kimoldfield - 11 Mar 2009 13:28 - 7516 of 81564

Well at least they'll be a cut above the rest now Greek!

kimoldfield - 11 Mar 2009 13:29 - 7518 of 81564

I only said that once!??!!

greekman - 11 Mar 2009 13:30 - 7519 of 81564

Yes, but you have just had one cut too many. Perhaps your Sat Nav went wonky

kimoldfield - 11 Mar 2009 16:40 - 7520 of 81564

Maybe Greek! The only places I use my Sat Nav in are Manchester and London, I know the latter fairly well but I still have a tendency to head off in the wrong direction sometimes; as for Manchester, well if they had some decent road direction signs it would help!!

hewittalan6 - 11 Mar 2009 20:55 - 7521 of 81564

The only directions needed in Machester are; "Way Out"

kimoldfield - 12 Mar 2009 01:22 - 7522 of 81564

Alan I have to admit something I would not normally admit to; I prefer Rhyl to Manchester. :o) It's true! How low can one go!

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2009 09:27 - 7523 of 81564

Being a Yorkist I can say this;

Manchester always reminds me of a rugby teams bath during the closed season.

Empty in the middle, with a ring of thick scum round the edges.

greekman - 12 Mar 2009 09:56 - 7524 of 81564

Here we go. The war of the roses again.
Don't want to stir things up by taking sides. After all us in East Yorkshire (white rose) can't help being superior in every way to those from the other side (red rose).
Of course if the red rose brigade admitted they were inferior, that would be the end of the matter.
OK now nicely secured in the cellar. Let battle commence.

Alan,

Why is it that every time we other posters try to have a grown up diplomatic discussion you have to redirect it to sex.
Also the mention of tuppin lambs, shows us in a bad light. There is (as we Yorkshiremen know) nothing wrong re the wellies and a full grown sheep, something that other lot can't appreciate, but young innocent lambs, well really. They will start to think we are depraved and have no standards.

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2009 21:26 - 7530 of 81564

I didn't know it was a lamb.

She told me she was a sheep, honest.

You know what its like when they get a bit of make up on........................

kimoldfield - 13 Mar 2009 00:08 - 7531 of 81564

Never trust a sheep Alan, you know you'll get fleeced.
