Even more oil ? that would be staggering...difficult to believe that they might have another billion barrels or so...that would make shaikan one of the greatest oil wells in middle east history...

from a chart point of view, notwithstanding that sp has dropped back from yesterday's (freak) high, but that sp even now is holding comfortably above 100, which was a potential serious(?) resistance .... sp is holding at previous all-time closing high of 104

Another oil discovery with good testing should send the sp at least up another 20p or so.....or they could say : well completed now on to the next well...either way this is an outstanding successful drilling campaign so far !.

Oil heading for $77 a barrel.....shot up since ftse close.....should put up oil stocks tomorrow unless there is an overnight reverse but I doubt it.

BB ..... i actually topped up at 102 a couple of weeks back, though still hold some from 29 and 49 etc ...... decidedly undecided on whether to hold onto all, but as i'm a greedy sod, think i shall at least pro tem and despite the inherent risks

by going to L2 i have spotted that rather strange trade of 1m at 111.81 ..... suspect it was a parcel that someone wanted or needed to shift over the course of the day .... however, the last (true?) trade of the day looks to have been a sale of 14,500 at 117.75

At the moment they are still drilling and oil is once again up..closing in on the $80 barrel border once again....rns due soon...very much dependent on that...
