Media Corp (Gaming Corpoartion GMC)Attracting Some Big Names. (MDC)

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2003 00:33

Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

Make of this what you will. From the other side. EK is still long with a reduced holding

Duck you suckers

Gaming Corp, one of the sector's smaller players, rose 1p to 13.75p after Arbuthnot Securities urged investors to buy into the group, slapping a 21p price target on the stock. It expects Gaming's full-year results, due in November, to reveal pre-tax profits of 500,000. Given the strong trading at the group, this forecast could prove to be too conservative.

Time to get into GMC now, this will steadily rise up to results.

mickeyskint - 09 Sep 2005 12:44 - 777 of 1117

I think we're on the move. 7+% today so far. It looks like the MM's are letting it go. Results should be out november. I do see this as a multi bagger (in time). Let's hope it's not another false dawn.

mickeyskint - 12 Sep 2005 11:42 - 779 of 1117

Should we be concerened? EK has sold the last of his holding. Why when results are due soon. As he knows the Drummond brothers well, does he know something we don't.

britshare - 12 Sep 2005 12:21 - 780 of 1117

MS, to my knowledge EK is bearish on the sector as whole, which might explain his selling.
However, it always pays to judge a company on its own merits, rather than just as a part of a sector, because the sentiment might change for the positive in few weeks time again.
I remain bullish on GMC and expect continuous rise up to the results.
Remember, GMC has already been hit by the PartyGaming knock on effect, which provided quite a few substantial investors with a chance to buy @12p mark.

JT Master Investor - 12 Sep 2005 13:50 - 781 of 1117

I don't care what EK does because most of the brokers notes I have read are very bullish especially Arbuthnot which I read recently. EK is a punter not an investor and looks for a quick buck but remember he is long on CER and look at them now

mickeyskint - 12 Sep 2005 14:48 - 782 of 1117

From the other side. Sounds good to me.

shaz247 - 12 Sep'05 - 13:50 - 13422 of 13425

Just had a quick chat with Damion Greef, Communications Director at GMC, who tells me the EK is someone who is not close to the company at all and is a trader and not an investor. He tells me that EK purchased his holdings at around 3p so is perfectly entitled to sell his shares, if that is what he has done, for what is a fat profit. He mentioned the Cannacord forecast of 24p and also was reassured by the Arbuthnot buy note of 21p and emphasised that this is the first independant analyst forecast for GMC and reiterates what house-broker Cannacord has been telling investors.

He also said Directors are concentrating hard on the GMC business and all long term investors are still on board. Results are hoping to be released within the first couple of weeks in November and GMC are comfortable with analyst expectations.

GMC remains a very attractive investment and EK may be forced to buy in at higher levels post-results...

Gaming Corporation PLC

Gaming Corporation PLC

14th September 2005

Trading Statement

Gaming Corporation plc ('Gaming Corp' or 'the Company'), the number 1 gaming
portal operator and owner of both
www.gambling.com
and
www.casino.co.uk,
today
provides an update on trading for the year ending September 2005.

Gaming Corp has completed the integration of Gambling.com and the business is
continuing to exceed management's expectations during the first months of
ownership. The mobile gaming business launched with Orange UK continues to
out-perform our initial revenue forecasts having signed 2,500 registered
customers during the initial soft launch phase. As Orange UK intensifies their
marketing effort we would anticipate further rapid growth in our mobile gaming
operation. The Company is also in ongoing negotiations with other European
network operators with a view to replicating the success we have experienced
with Orange UK.

In addition, the Company is now benefiting from a significant reduction in its
costs following a move to a new software supplier for its online and mobile
casino games. This reduction in marginal costs will continue to improve as the
casino operation continues to gain scale.

Gaming Corp continues to dominate the on-line gaming portal market and has
significantly benefited from both our advertisers requirement to attract new
customers and unprecedented market growth. Whilst there has been recent comment
regarding the increasing cost of customer acquisition in the online gaming
industry these growing subscriber acquisition and marketing costs have been
beneficial to Gaming Corp as operators are now paying up to 50% more to acquire
customers from our gaming portals.

The multiplayer internet and mobile poker software which has been developed with
Ongame is in the final stages of development and will be launched over the next
few weeks. The poker site will offer Casino.co.uk customer's access to over 5
Million registered poker players across Ongame's poker network. The software
will allow our customers to play online and via their mobile phone.

Gaming Corp has a lower regulatory risk compared to many of our competitors as
we do not target US customers with our own casino operation and our gaming
portal business falls outside the contentious regulatory framework as it is
essentially a media and advertising business.

The Company expects that operating profit before exceptional costs will be
materially higher than management's earlier expectations.

Justin Drummond, Chief Executive of Gaming Corp, commented,

'The Group has made tremendous progress during this year having completed a
number of key acquisitions and having successfully launched some groundbreaking
and innovative new gaming sites'.

'The mobile gaming division is going from strength to strength and we believe
that the new poker site will provide a considerable new revenue stream to the
Group'.

Footsie 100-here we come!! sorry didn't mean to ramp but it is an excellent statement after PRTY managed to be a partypooper recently!!

britshare - 30 Sep 2005 12:51 - 788 of 1117

At 13 - 13.25p it is time to fillyaboots. Next week the RNS announcing the launch of new internet and mobile poker room will be released. This share hasn't been affected by the recent negative sector sentiment. And just look at that delicious chart. Time to leave 13-14p range well and truly behind.

mickeyskint - 30 Sep 2005 12:58 - 789 of 1117

Lets hope so, it's been stagnant for some time now. I think the broker forcast was for 25p.

GMC time is finally coming!!!

mickeyskint - 30 Sep 2005 14:09 - 791 of 1117

I got this from the other side. Nothing new but just a reminder of good things to come.

SONO POVERO - 29 Sep'05 - 15:00 - 13792 of 13807

And what about this one? (just formulating more scenarios while sipping my lavazza)

News have leaked out to the MM. Imminent RNS announcing formally the launching of the poker initiative published recently. On the 14th September they announced in their RNS (the CAPITALS are mine):

"The multiplayer internet and mobile poker software which has been developed with Ongame is in the final stages of development and will be launched over the NEXT FEW WEEKS. The poker site will offer Casino.co.uk customer's access to OVER 5 MILLION registered poker players across Ongame's poker network. The software will allow our customers to play online and via their mobile phone".

I guess this means the cash can be generated in real time as soon as the site is up and running. from potential 5 million people! And 2 weeks ago they were saying the launch was FEW WEEKS away. It could happen tomorrow, which is Friday. Time to digest the news, Weekend press and by the end of next week I will say farewell to Lidl for ever.

As a reminder, they sounded really very upbeat:

The Company expects that operating profit before exceptional costs will be
MATERIALLY HIGHER than management's earlier expectations.

Justin Drummond, Chief Executive of Gaming Corp, commented,

"The Group has made TREMENDOUS PROGRESS during this year having completed a
number of key acquisitions and having successfully launched some groundbreaking
and innovative new gaming sites".

"The mobile gaming division is going from strength to strength and we believe
that THE NEW POKER SITE WILL PROVIDE A CONSIDERABLE NEW REVENUE STREAM TO THE GROUP".

Adding the recent rerating at 25p, I think who has spare cash and doesn't see this stock at 13.5p as a serious investment (I admit I was blind as well until today) should be either be treated urgently or alternatively be forced fed with marmite.

This was a substantiated ramping, mainly triggered by poverty.

Dynamite - 30 Sep 2005 14:11 - 792 of 1117

hmmmmm don't bother MS you have made it go down now :-( I'm getting a bit fed up with this share..holding on though
Di

moneyplus - 30 Sep 2005 14:55 - 793 of 1117

added a few more on the dip--results in nov. should be good and the directors have bought some hefty chunks. I'm hoping it's worth the wait.

mickeyskint - 30 Sep 2005 15:05 - 794 of 1117

I must admit it has streached my patience but it will come good in the end. The gaming sector has taken a bashing recently but this has stood up well in comparison to the others in the sector.
