What a refreshing change Socks

Good evening from your Washington correspondent. Just winding down after a busy week, flying to Miami tomorrow where the forcast is good with temps in the mid 80's.

Yes, it is refreshing when I change my socks! The weather is getting a bit colder now so I will connect up the hammock to the electrickery supply, it has heated blankets built in. No need to keep your overcoat, dungarees, track-suit, shell suit, fur wrap, sweater and thermals on any more.

I think of lots of things, I'm sure some of the things I think about would be better unthunk! But it does give me a lot of pleasure. I'm off now, I have to be up early, have really cosy night.

Choccy, Pizza Hut?

Good morning. Today it is raining with some degree of hard and blowing a gale. I may well not go out at all. Breakfast is a bacon buttie, two good slices of farmhouse baked bread and freshly grilled bacon. All that lovely butter dripping down ones chin, lovely.

No Socks - it really was a hut with a cracking woodburner in the middle.
And Shepherd's Pie by candlelight.

So the mighty Chelski get beat, was always on the cards. i bet fergie will be smarting.

Now in Miami where it is hot and sticky. Surprised to see so much evidence of the hurricane still about. there are piles of trees and rubbish everywhere. Newspapers are full of stories about the number of people still without homes and even some homes still without electricity.

Quiet on here today. Everyone still in bed?
