THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

SC: no prude me, I assure you, but I do wonder what a young woman is doing driving around with that number plate. Sad or what?

greekman - 04 Nov 2009 07:29 - 7826 of 81564

Might not have been a request for sex. I have been heard to shout out S44G ME and similar several times lately when looking at some of my share prices.

dcb - 05 Nov 2009 08:24 - 7828 of 81564

where did you find the picture of my wife? (she is honest!)

Seymour Clearly - 05 Nov 2009 09:19 - 7829 of 81564

That was her. Just wondering what's wrong with that right eye. That and the peculiar lip drop on the right makes me think she's got Bell's palsy.

I'll keep looking. I'm sure I can help.

Poor thing looks half starved. Her ribs are sticking out.

Come to think of it, so are her thumbs.

greekman - 05 Nov 2009 09:56 - 7831 of 81564

Always liked a bit of spare rib, with sauce of course.

THE British Grand Prix has less than 48 hours to secure its place on the Formula One calendar for next season.

Bernie Ecclestone, who owns the rights to F1 events, has warned that his negotiations with Silverstone are over and is waiting to hear if the circuit will pay his price for the race.

They say there is not much between us and them, so they should sign, said Ecclestone. Maybe they have lost their pen but if they dont find it in the next day or two then that is it.

I will pull the race off the calendar and there will be no British Grand Prix to argue about.

Hopes have been high a deal will be secured.

Donington's deal appears to have fallen apart and the Silverstone management are hopeful they can sit round the table and start serious negotiations to secure the long-term future of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

It is believed Silverstone's bosses will push Bernie for a long-term contract rather than a single year deal. Then they can more sensibly commit to invest.

I think Bernie wants to go to Donington and might be stalled in the doing of it but nevertheless, it's there and so he really doesn't want to do a long term deal with Silverstone.

Bernie's main thing is the fee he takes for allowing the race to be run at all and with othervenues around the world wanting to take a slot from him, he really doesn't give a toss one way or the other.

My 5 says.... :-(

But 'watch this space'.

ExecLine - 05 Nov 2009 13:35 - 7835 of 81564
