Hi opto

market strange today - doesnt seem as though it knows what to do

optomistic - 16 Nov 2005 15:33 - 7875 of 24230

Strange market it may be Fundy but it seems to know what it's doing with my holdings :-(

Fundamentalist - 16 Nov 2005 15:37 - 7876 of 24230

I shouldnt grumble too much - had a very good run recently and the trading on betfair just seems to get better

Trying to get my head around the champ investor comp - i currently am using the buy and hold theory but may have to rotate at some stage - not really my style - RTD starting to look attractive mind

optomistic - 16 Nov 2005 15:51 - 7877 of 24230

RTD back to the 30 would help. Does seem to have been held back recently.
edit: as to the champ investor, reckon I should withdraw, had a large % in HCEG.

Just taken the dog to the park - boy its cold out there - need of another warming guinness by the fire

optomistic - 16 Nov 2005 16:20 - 7879 of 24230

Yes Fundy it is cold at our latitude, went to the post box earlier, shivered all the way back.

Fundamentalist - 16 Nov 2005 16:28 - 7880 of 24230

Could do with the frost staying away for another week - patio to be laid next week :-(

optomistic - 16 Nov 2005 16:33 - 7881 of 24230

Opto

Tim - surely one wont hurt :-)

Socrates - 16 Nov 2005 17:24 - 7885 of 24230

Hello all, quite a day today, lots of posts to read. The old bistro hasn't been so crowded for ages. Bit of a mixed bag on my profiterole today, some up, some down.

Now for tea, I think I'll have a plate full of portfolios with Chocolat sauce.

chocolat - 16 Nov 2005 18:01 - 7886 of 24230

At least you'll never run out of that, Socks.

little willie - 16 Nov 2005 18:33 - 7887 of 24230

Hi Chocolata, just dropped in from a very hot SA, lovely balmy evening.

Been whizzing around Golf Estate on my golf buggy on Trustee business, had to visit about nine different lots of folk.

Its great as they all ask you to sit by the pool or stoep and have a drink or two, buggy now going sideways!

Sweet Revenge runs this Sat over 1400 metres at 1.35pm, if not placed then decided I'm selling her!!!

Anyone in the market for a hundred weight or two of cheveux steak tartare??

Socrates - 17 Nov 2005 00:01 - 7888 of 24230

chocolat - 17 Nov 2005 00:25 - 7890 of 24230

Blimey li'l will - could've done with a lovely balmy evening here too.
And I'm that hungry again, I could murder a horse

optomistic - 17 Nov 2005 08:12 - 7891 of 24230

Balmy evenings are very nice, it's the barmy days that are the problem. Kettles on, fresh danish, nothing else just danish. Two on one side for jj in case it gets busy :-) Have a nice day all, I'm out all day from 9am. Something to do with pleasure I think but it will be a very cold pleasure today.

jj50 - 17 Nov 2005 08:26 - 7892 of 24230

Thanks opto! Danish appreciated, nice to see cafe buzzing with
heating turned up! Have a good day and wrap up :-)

Spacey, if you listen to Burt Baccarrah no wonder you fell asleep! Just
turned on my IPod to see what the kids had been downloading for me ..
looks like it is Katie Tunstall and the Killers .... probably not going to
pull too many in here this morning...
