Shall probably regret this play as XEL seems to have all the hall marks of success ; but considering the plethora of positions held by many investors in XEL below 100p ect ect, and its current inability to challenge strong resistance at 290p level ,and furthermore considering i hold at 242p with little move for manouvre , i thought it prudent- being a % s player (as i always remind everyone and anyone) -to sell 40% which equated to 6,000 today . Albeit not quite a one trick pony, XEL has very little to fall back on if flow rates dont meet a currently very demanding market ,,, and i dont want to be carrying 15,000 if Bentley doesnt meet those expectations ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,as this will tank on a grand scale ...and very quickly given MM movement of s/p .. ,

Proselenes - 02 Dec 2010 09:32 - 799 of 3002

TFC, it fell back yesterday as the tanker returned to Lerwick. The tanker went back to Bentley today and so is now at the rig.

All being well flow test starts very soon, so I expect a big rush for stock tomorrow and Monday and flow test results on the 7th or 8th Dec.

TheFrenchConnection - 02 Dec 2010 09:59 - 800 of 3002

now you tell me ,,,lol ( only teasing Mr P ). ..But with greatest of respect Mr P you have reiterated those very expectations reg. shorters going cold and a rush for buyers on several occasions. Further more. and more to the point, you hold at a very low level which is in total antiphisis to myself ...and 50p profit p/s could have been wiped out within an hour in this stock as could profit i banked even from 220p level ...../. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Please dont get me wrong as still anticipating success myself hence retention of 9,000- merely reducing exposure and crystalizing a quick paper profit lest things turn pearshaped .....As they say - NEVER SAY NEVER ..........Regards to you et al ...............

Proselenes - 02 Dec 2010 10:22 - 801 of 3002

TFC, I never tell anyone what to do (I just take exception when cynic tries to say what he does is always best..) LOL

Just joking cynners.

I am hoping for a good run up now, the test got delayed as testing crew stuck in the snow shutdown of heli flights.

All is on track now, so all being well the flow test starts very soon.

Danny boy is quite positive today......

XCITE Energy FLOW TESTING!

Have been waiting on several contacts getting back to me over this company and I can now inform you that these are the same sources who gave the Blog the heads up on the Desire oil strike (confirmed today)

The flow testing at the Bentley field is well underway and has been for the last few days so says our contacts. The news is expected to be very positive no problems have been encountered other than the usual rough seas. Knutsen tankers are known to be in this area probably off-loading the flow-test oil. Commercial rates of BOPD are being hit!

Production planning is all but nailed on here. It has been rumoured that takeover approaches were being made to Xcite from various heavy oil producers in the UKCS hence the poison pill share-holder rights adoption which is seen as a warning shot across the boughs of any predatory action that was rumoured to be in the offing. Xcite are going into production they are not interested in takeover the discovery is just too big and its known that they have ALL the help they need with the Bentley Alliance and BP in their corner! Fast-tracking their production.

Flow testing means only one thing and that is that news is about to break!

Get your alerts set 300p will be but a distant memory here over the next few days; targets are 400/500p your investments look like they are going to be considerably enhanced as they trend up on flow test news. The news IS positive! Big gains here over the next day or so!

Hola1

Daniel

Hope so as I'm in with a lot of stock....(well for me anyway)....but have also taken profits as it rises....

required field - 02 Dec 2010 10:42 - 804 of 3002

Sp rising......300p plus perhaps coming.....

Proselenes - 02 Dec 2010 10:49 - 805 of 3002

Yep, the demand should grow now as I said earlier....... testing results are getting nearer and nearer.......

Proselenes - 02 Dec 2010 11:37 - 806 of 3002

And demand is growing..... ;)

Balerboy - 02 Dec 2010 11:51 - 807 of 3002

required field - 02 Dec 2010 12:23 - 808 of 3002

Wonderful for trading spreads today...with these camel bumps !....

mitzy - 02 Dec 2010 12:46 - 809 of 3002

Buy buy buy..

TheFrenchConnection - 02 Dec 2010 12:47 - 810 of 3002

Perhaps you are right BB . Perhaps you are right mon ami . . But what price payeth a man for peace of mind and a sound sleep ? Considering i have banked a tad shy of 10k from the two tranches l bought virtually blindly without an iota of research @ 222p ( sold the lot @ 252p) and then bought again @ 242p ( sold approx 40% @ 282p) and still have 9,000 in play i cannot complain BB ......lm a % player . Always have been / was the way in which i was taught ...... XEL starting to remind me of the heady early days of DNZ ( Dana )

Balerboy - 02 Dec 2010 16:48 - 811 of 3002

understood tfc, my pot is only big enough to pee in at the mo, but it is growing. Where as you have been in this game i suspect longer than i and have said on another thread you've had a nice bit of luck in the past. So where your gains are in the 000's mine are mostly in the 00's so slowly slowly catchy money.,.

thimar - 02 Dec 2010 17:47 - 812 of 3002

will most likely see a drop in the morning as i dont expect we will see an rns on the flow rates until the early part of next week. Top sliced some of my shares before close of play hoping i can get back in tomorrow before the eruption next week. I hope.

cynic - 02 Dec 2010 20:03 - 813 of 3002

not necessarily, unless USA dips sharply in last hour of trading ..... that said, i took some money off the table elsewhere shortly before london close, but that was primarily because i shall be flying for most of tomorrow
