Petroceltic has a 100% working (95% net) interest in the 7,500 square kilometres Ksar Hadada Contract Area in Southern Tunisia through a Production Sharing Agreement with ETAP the Tunisian state oil company. Technical evaluation by Petroceltic and its advisers has revealed a number of prospects in the Contract Area. One of these "Sidi Toui" has the potential to host over 400 million barrels of recoverable oil within a large fault block structure. A well drilled on the flank of the structure in the 1950's encountered oil and gas in a fractured Ordovician quartzite sequence. Petroceltic has carefully selected the location of Sidi Toui 3 well to be up dip on the same structure so as to optimally test the oil potential of this prospect. Another similar prospect named Oryx has been identified in the southern part of the Contract Area and is now under final technical assessment for drilling in the near future.
goal.

Roo, at least we held at 17p. Seems to be a wee bit of bother getting above this mark. Perhaps some thinking they can trade it a bit between 17 and 18ish. Fair play to them if they are able to do it. But what happens to them if they are out and an RNS comes out with good news. After all, I guess most of us bought into this for the bigger picture and not just a trading opertunity. Each to our own though. Will be fun watching the stampede to get back in.

M100, thanks for your input on the shares you listed. I also hold Chaco, CHP. An interesting little punt I took out at just under 2p a while ago. Was suspended and came back to the market last week. Hoping to drill in Paraguay.

no problem, dont have much capital left as all tied up in pci and another, so buy a Lottery ticket every week or put a few pounds in these acorns - who knows they may pay for a holiday at in a few months time?
- Interesting BLR - similar sector, opps similar to PCI and SEY but low value currently?
- Having got out of pci 2 times in the early days - the nerves went! - and watch rises again when I was out(aahh) am now sticking onto it! Have always said 20p even without drill news is where it should be - but hey what do I know? :-)

gavdfc - 27 Oct 2004 11:49 - 800 of 1258

Seems a bit quite today on the PCI front, still holding at 17 though which is good.

M100

Know what you mean about the nerves. Bought in here twice and happy holding. Could have increased my holding by trading but that's not really for me, would no doubt get my timing wrong! Prefer to buy and hold.

Not looked at BLR before. Current oil holdings are PCI, SEY, SIA and CHP. Would look to add to SEY and SIA, but happy with what I have of PCI. All have interesting times ahead IMO. Looking forward to the drill results here, should be fun! :-)

gavdfc have you looked at GOO?

chinapete - 27 Oct 2004 13:53 - 802 of 1258

200,000 T trade gone through - part of a large buy order being filled presumably. I wonder how large?

chinapete - 27 Oct 2004 13:59 - 803 of 1258

Answering my own question "how large?". Large enough that the disclosure of the total amount would materially affect the share price if it were known.

How small are the straws we clutch for comfort!

m100 - 28 Oct 2004 09:37 - 804 of 1258

so its MM madness time again? the overnight price dropping, but its mainly blue this morning, with some reasonable size buys. Someones toppping up quietly then?

chinapete - 28 Oct 2004 10:23 - 805 of 1258

500k just sold at 16.02 - you cannot be serious! I'm Boracic Lint at the moment, otherwise I would buy now in expectation of a rise on the coming RNS, since the SP seems entirely news driven.

107606 - 28 Oct 2004 10:47 - 806 of 1258

I would love some more cash to put in. Wouldnt we all. Good to see there is still an healthy population of PET lovers out there!

107606 - 28 Oct 2004 10:49 - 807 of 1258

Are those PET lovers the same as PCI lovers? They definitely are in my case! Hopefully my PET will allow me to top up on PCI soon. From one golden stock to another!

m100 - 29 Oct 2004 09:21 - 808 of 1258

looks like it will hold at this level till news comes out...

chinapete - 29 Oct 2004 15:05 - 809 of 1258

"looks like it will hold at this level till news comes out..."

Perhaps a kick up just before an announcement as punters take a chance on a strike.

What about this scenario. There is a good chance of some kind of oil show, even if there isn't very much. From what we know of PCI the announcement is likely to be very ( perhaps over) confident and the price will go to 30p plus, giving an opportunity to top slice. Followed by a sink back as the penny drops ( or a rise if there is a good quantity).

If the well is disappointing we can wait for the next one, probably buying back in more cheaply. A chance to make money even if the well isn't up to much.

Of course, we all hope for a good strike and a commercial quantity. All I am saying is that the short term chances are not necessarily over yet.

If the big selling stops, the steady stream of smaller purchases could slowly raise the price - we have three weeks yet.

Like the rest of you, the waiting is getting on my tits. That's why I am idly speculating.

Good luck.

CP

"Like the rest of you, the waiting is getting on my tits."
well said cp
perhaps we could release an RNS with this in?

107606 - 30 Oct 2004 00:10 - 811 of 1258

Maybe PET could do the same, a joint RNS...

Big Al - 30 Oct 2004 13:41 - 812 of 1258

You guys need patience! ;-))

They'll either come up trumps with the current well and she'll break out or they'll hit a duster and drop like a stone. Get a strategy for both possibilities.

gavdfc - 30 Oct 2004 14:02 - 813 of 1258

Good point Big Al.

The way I see this is simple. I ask myself, why did I buy this share. The answer is also simple, because of it's prospects.

rooandu - 31 Oct 2004 11:17 - 814 of 1258

gav...and they are/will be a great winner :-) roll on to next week!!

BigAl...if they don't strike oil they will no doubt fall, by how much is a good question but with all the other projects and prospects pci have in the pipeline then i imagine the rebound will be quick...then stadily on to new highs...evo says 32p now...and if the lack stuff gushes and I'm confident it will...then 65p at least...but as they say, only time will tell and we will have an indication soon...we are going places which no one can deny :-)

m100 - 01 Nov 2004 08:51 - 815 of 1258

start of something big this morning?
