Petroceltic International, Good prospects 25pence soon (PCI)

inbs - 23 Dec 2003 22:02

New Projects and good prospects. will be the winner in 2004. IMO
25p in early 2004

gavdfc - 30 Oct 2004 14:02 - 813 of 1258

Good point Big Al.

The way I see this is simple. I ask myself, why did I buy this share. The answer is also simple, because of it's prospects.

rooandu - 31 Oct 2004 11:17 - 814 of 1258

gav...and they are/will be a great winner :-) roll on to next week!!

BigAl...if they don't strike oil they will no doubt fall, by how much is a good question but with all the other projects and prospects pci have in the pipeline then i imagine the rebound will be quick...then stadily on to new highs...evo says 32p now...and if the lack stuff gushes and I'm confident it will...then 65p at least...but as they say, only time will tell and we will have an indication soon...we are going places which no one can deny :-)

m100 - 01 Nov 2004 08:51 - 815 of 1258

start of something big this morning?

rooandu - 01 Nov 2004 09:45 - 816 of 1258

Good morning.

m100...i'm sure we'll see some progress this week... in to Nov now and all sort of developments should be on the cards.......drilling progress etc.etc.etc.

Good luck all :-)

bowman - 01 Nov 2004 15:59 - 817 of 1258

What do you guys make of the brochure of paticulars out at 15.30 today.

regards bowman

Kivver - 01 Nov 2004 16:44 - 818 of 1258

one million new shares being admitted this week, is this good or bad news?

Big Al - 01 Nov 2004 19:59 - 819 of 1258

PCI can do 1m shares in the opening hour.

Not an issue IMO.

rooandu - 01 Nov 2004 20:44 - 820 of 1258

kivver/bowman..there are some good posts on the advfn pci bb which should put forward pros and cons...as big al says...shouldn't be a cause for concern!......now where's that other rns we've all been waiting for? :-)

chinapete - 03 Nov 2004 11:13 - 821 of 1258

rooandu - 03 Nov 2004 11:35 - 822 of 1258

chinapete...ref. above link...obviously not a pci fan!...everyone has their point of view...and who says who's right?...only time will tell. By the way when are you thinking of coming back in? on the advfn site, it looks like a degree of negativity has crept in due to the lack of price movement and many derampers are living in the hope of getting in cheaper...I suppose the more negative news, the better for those who can capitalise on battering pci with the hope of a solid fall...good for them if it works but I'm still confident(taking in the pros and cons and a touch of realism) that we will win in the end.......however long that might take :-)

SALKELDJP - 03 Nov 2004 11:51 - 823 of 1258

Rooandu,
As you say, everyone has their own point of view, and many investors may feel that their patience is wearing thin over the apparent delay of the RNS that we are all hoping for. But what has changed in the last fortnight or so? Not a lot I would suggest (correct me if I'm wrong)! Drilling has commenced I assume as predicted by PCI, results should follow sometime this month. An RNS would be nice, but at the moment we are in the hands of the MM's and de-rampers who will play their games and endeavour to unsettle as many as they can in the interim!
My average price is 16.4 so I see-saw in and out of positive on a daily basis but I'm staying put unless and until something officially negative somes out!

rooandu - 03 Nov 2004 12:15 - 824 of 1258

salkeldjp...agree...some are getting pretty fed up with the wait but as I've said all along patience is the name of the game...people's expectations have been running high since last summer and I can understand that this leads one to questions ones position and confidence...but as far as I'm concerned pci have acted professionally and have not mislead us in anyway (perhaps some have mislead themselves?)...drilling was earmarked for the latter part of the summer, this didn't materalise.... drilling was expected early October only to be told that it was going to take place within days of the 13th...(we're never assured an rns would be released to say drilling had commenced). It would assume logical that drilling has taken place and we should have some indication to progress in week or so time(pci quote "mid to end Nov" also mentioned on another bb there might be an rns out sometime next week...for one, i trust pci are not misleading us down glitz street as this would not bode well for future confidence!!!!...pci have excellent technos and sound management in place whom I would rather listen to than the hidden intentions of those would like pci to appear as another pet...we will have to wait and see who's right or wrong but i'm patient and having come this far resilient to the continual deramping.......i'm also confident we'll be right in the end but once again...only time will tell :-)

chinapete - 03 Nov 2004 12:17 - 825 of 1258

Rooandu, I'm in with 20k and at the moment staring at a nice loss on the latest purchase, although I am up overall because of trading. However, I reason that at some point in the next 3 weeks they will move up from their present disappointing position. I am betting on some kind of oil show because of previous history and a jump in price on completion of the drilling, even if there is not a lot of oil. At that moment I may top slice and leave half in long term. Unless, of course, there really is a lot of oil. When will we be sure I wonder?

I get the impression that if a few drops of oil drip from the sump of one of their trucks, PCI will announce a strike!

rooandu - 03 Nov 2004 12:37 - 826 of 1258

chinapete...i can understand view points/pressures from both camps...those currently sitting on a loss or profit...as for the amount of oil...know one knows it but pci have assured us the conditions are right...evidence has been previously found so there's a good chance of locating a sizeable amount (pci quote "over 400 mb recoverable")...my confidence in management and their trust is also driven by faith, faith that we will win in the end :-) ps......would seem sensible to top slice post a good rise and look to the long term.

m100 - 03 Nov 2004 12:57 - 827 of 1258

well, looking at others in the sector - a few seem to have delayed drilling due to rigs being busy elsewhere - so whats a few weeks between friends?
since its been pushed down again today with the moaning minnies, ..get out again and sell with a loss (panicked before, then it shot up again a week later) or like cp and roo hold in there - looking back through my posts must be psychic - I would suspect pci will now only release news when something factual (viz - my dragnet post maam) actually occurs. Someone is going to make a pile then, we sit and wait...

chinapete - 03 Nov 2004 14:20 - 828 of 1258

Of course, they may be drilling right now. The first we may hear of it is a result. Immediately prior to the PRE Bolivian gas strike there was a big buy - the news had leaked and some bugger made a pile. We should watch the purchases/sells like a hawk in a couple of weeks time in case there is another leak. Probably teaching my grannie to suck eggs, but it's easy to forget to do the obvious! Could be an indicator to buy or dump.

I wish I could free up some money to get into Crest Nicholson (CRST). Feel sure that its only a matter of time before Heron makes a bid.

m100 - 03 Nov 2004 14:27 - 829 of 1258

probably are ... are we able to monitor the directors dealings in their own shares?

Big Al - 04 Nov 2004 15:02 - 830 of 1258

Bought a few more

SALKELDJP - 04 Nov 2004 19:56 - 831 of 1258

Big Al

Possibly a shrewd move. Have you had a look at the trades this p.m? Those below are jolly encouraging I think, especially the two post trading..

Time Price Bid Ask Volume Block Price B/S Type
17:26:07 16.75p 16.25p 17p 400,000 67,000 BUY O
17:25:07 16.75p 16.25p 17p 687,500 115,156 BUY O
16:09:32 16.5p 16p 16.75p 500,000 82,500 BUY O
15:39:43 16.5p 16p 16.75p 500,000 82,500 BUY O
15:29:42 16.5p 16p 16.75p 750,000 123,750 BUY O

This is not insignificant money! Someone knows something I reckon and this could be the start of what we have been waiting for. I know that there are a few who think that the sp will drop to 14p. I'm a bit sceptical about that in the light of the deals above. I think tomorrow could be exciting. RNS tomorrow/Monday?
If we don't start tomorrow in the blue I'll eat my monitor.
Any other comments?

Best wishes all!

rooandu - 04 Nov 2004 21:07 - 832 of 1258

Salkedjp...the sp falling to 14p esp with current sit ref ST drilling??!!...i'm sure many not yet in or who have been in and out would love to see it fall only to get back on the bandwagon again... wishful thinking...it won't happen.
