VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field,and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.

It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(�500m+) in the not to distant future.

CHP
I did not think their RNS was anything to get that excited about, though as a long-term hold it may well prove very profitable.

MRP
IMO, this stock is now ridiculously underpriced, not only in the light of their latest RNS, but also taking into account the article on oilbarrel. In fact, sp hardly flickered either in the anticipation or the actuality of the latest RNS.

VOG
Seems to have a pretty impressive track record of issuing sensible statements, fully supported by qualified 3rd party assessors. The one now awaited should, one hopes, solidly underline the extent of what is said to be more than a tasty reserve in anyone's language. Whether that RNS comes up to scratch and/or leads to significant profit-taking remains to be seen. IMO, on the reasonable assumption that the report is indeed good, then profit-taking should be minimal if at all.

The VOG RNS can't be far away, and assuming it's good, it'll be interesting to see which way the market votes. It makes no difference to me anyway, as I'm currently sitting on cash. All my former O&G stocks (MRP, CHP, VOG, MXP, AEX and EEL) are still substantially lower than when I sold them, so I'm happy to miss out on any rally that might occur. I'm still betting that rallies will be short lived, and further interest rate worries will push prices down further still.

I suspect that Man Financial have sold enough shares to take their holding to just below 3% as opposed to selling all their holding.

they haven't got long until end of month and the update deadline. another delay would f up the sp again further. this week we need an rns and hopefully a good one.

I am sure there will be an RNS from VOG by the end of the month, but confess that I am less certain than I was that it will be definitive, which is slightly worrying, at least in the short term

Three more days to the end of the month. The RNS have to come out. Fingers crossed...

yes if the directors are to be beleived we should have a RNS by friday, since they promised end of june. was wondering though why man etc are reducing holdings when all of us are looking forward to this so much? did they get a hint of something bad to come ? or they just not intersted ? any ideas? what ever I have decided to gamble on this with a T10 worst case can close it few days later at somewhat this level and best case it will shoot up :)

peeyam there is no reason not to belive them when i spoke to k.foo a few weeks back he said there will be one by end of june no matter what the tests show if good bad or in between or another delay.re man this was covered in earlier posts i think dont read to much into them selling.

woodie, if he said that then we looking good. should hear something today or tomorrow, The wells are in a good region, with running wells in the region so hopefully they strike it and if they dont i guess we dig deeper :) The last time they had a update it was released at 7:00am, which has just passed so i guess after market today or tomorrow morning.
