THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I went to my local Tesco yesterday. They had a perfume sampler bottle out and so I gave it a couple of sprays into the air - it smelled really nice, so I bought 3 bottles for 10. It's called 'Paradisiac'.

Seeing as it rhymes with "aphrodisiac".....well, you never know your luck.... ;-)

A lady came up to the counter as I was purchasing and said to me that she liked my perfume, so I showed her which one it was that I had sprayed. She said she would get some for her daughter and told me it was a good price at 12 per bottle. Just imagine her face when I said, "Yes, but it is even better when it's on a Valentine offer at 3 for 10." She couldn't believe it.

They also had a male version which was slightly cheaper at 5.99 each or 3 for 10 but I didn't try that. I am not a cheap skate!

Anyhow, just a thought, Greek. What with your economy and all that.

Oh, I nearly forgot!

Don't come out of Tesco without buying the '3 for 1' tins of chopped tomatoes. Look out for the ones with basil and chili in as well.

greekman - 11 Feb 2010 09:47 - 8241 of 81564

Thanks for all the advice.

Bit offended by the dress bit as I look far better in a skirt.
As to a male escort, thought that was a cracking idea, so I contacted an agency. they gave me a price which I thought was reasonable, but they did need a photograph. I sent one via the internet and for some reason the price tripled, so that ideas out. Still thanks anyway.

I haven't been around for a while thanks to my wife being carted off to hospital in an ambulance. (She is OK now).

I see we have a new poster who seems to be a typical psuedo intellectual Guardian reader who thinks that we must be nice to those poor unfortunates who shoot people etc. and not only that but doesn't realise that Brown is one of the worst prime ministers we have ever had. (Heath was the worst - he got us into the Evil Empire) I, of course meen that plonker Fred.

I will be voting for the UKIP at the next election. Since they came second in the last election (EU election) it is obvious that a large number of people agree that we must take back our national identity and get rid of their stupid regulations.

T-i-m

Glad to see you are back your erudition has been sorely missed by MM, Exec, G and H. etc..

Correct me, if I misunderstood you, but you did say it was your wife who has been in hospital? That does surprise me!

Delighted you are voting UKIP. Why not stand as a candidate for them at the next election.

Their party need more candidates of your calibre.

By the way what is your national identity?
