Chris C .......... Greggs looks interesting...... bullish engulfing candle right on the moving average. One to watch with interest in the coming days.

Fundy wise just wondering what this warm weather has done to pie sales though?.

Do they do salads, ice creams other summmery foods?.

skinny - 31 Jul 2013 05:47 - 859 of 2763

GRG have interims on August 6th.

goldfinger - 31 Jul 2013 09:12 - 860 of 2763

Will we be eating sausage rolls to celebrate??.

Shortie - 31 Jul 2013 09:22 - 861 of 2763

GF, City Index is alright most of the time, I like the platform but every now and again you have to log out and back in again as bets get listed as phone only meaning you can't trade online. It seams to be a problem with the system, Barclays use the same platform also so expect the problem extends to them also. I have also got a Gekko account but have yet to use it.

goldfinger - 31 Jul 2013 10:02 - 862 of 2763

Cheers Shortie. Think Finsbury spreads use same platform aswel.

Getting fed up of IG though, its charging extras all the time.

Shortie - 31 Jul 2013 10:04 - 863 of 2763

The one thing CityIndex offers that I like is a app which allows you buy / sell on the go, and cuts the need to be at the computer.

goldfinger - 31 Jul 2013 10:21 - 864 of 2763

No good to me then. Im a bit old fashioned and tight with the dosh.

Im still on windows 2000 and 6 year old Dell PCs.

Mind they all work really well.

Boring market at the moment. need to get Yank news flushed out.

I like the look of this one. On verge of breakout and MACD looks very promising. Think Ill buy when Ive checked the fundys.

On the verge of a breakout.

Note how RSI and momentum are not
overbought like most other stocks
in this situation.

Leads me to think the breakout will
have a strong follow through.

Got a few stored up but would like to see how non farm pay rolls go tomorrow.

Fingers crossed.

cynic - 02 Aug 2013 07:02 - 871 of 2763

my own inclination is to buy FTSE and to a lesser extent, DOW
i am also inclined to buy sector indices rather than individual stocks

with the above in mind, provided you can live with the innate volatility of these indices, my choices remain NMX3720 (HG+HC) and NMX2350 (C+M) and i'm also inclined towards the banking sector (sorry; don't know the code), though i rather missed the boat when suggesting same the other day but not acting

Shortie - 02 Aug 2013 10:00 - 872 of 2763

Here's one I just bought into, have a look at the longer dated charts also.

skinny - 02 Aug 2013 10:09 - 873 of 2763

Here's one I've mentioned before TS next Wednesday and an upgrade yesterday TP 190p.

skinny - 02 Aug 2013 10:41 - 874 of 2763

ETI now in auction!

cynic - 02 Aug 2013 11:21 - 875 of 2763

a good alternative to ETI might be RTN ..... it hasn't performed as well as ETI but is still a well run company with strong presentation etc .... i certainly used to follow RTN closely, but haven't done so for quite a while

Cynic -another favourite of mine over the years - 560+ looks achievable.
